Tbh I’ve never liked him and even though he’s probably the smartest guy in our team he frequently does stupid * on the pitch, makes wrong decisions and is one of the weakest players in Europe.

I get why people, and especially Brendan, like him though as he’s a goal threat and one of the only players willing to break the lines and burst into the box.

He seems to have made up his mind to go and given the current market and our recent succes in selling for high value, I think we could easily fetch 5-6 million for him or more if we get a bidding war, which would be fantastic as he wouldn’t get ahead of Brown, Rogic, McGregor, Ntcham or Kouassie for me.

He doesn't deserve to play the remaining game's..

If it wasn't for trying to salvage some kinda decent fee, I'd have him training with the kid's till he * off..

He’s a good fit for the Scotland team but I’m fed up of him for Celtic. No coincidence he’s disappeared the minute we aren’t free scoring anymore

Mcgregor is a decent wee player has a good touch , and can shuttle the ball on. but ineffective and goes missing quite alot especially when the going gets tough and sometimes we need to help Brown even domestically at times, for me Armstrong and Rogic are better players and more of a goal threat too.

McGregor is technically good enough to play in the Champions League, Armstrong isn’t. It is patently obvious which one came through at Celtic and which one came through at ICT/Dundee United.

I wouldn’t bother my shirt if Armstrong left, which is a feeling I don’t often get about players who have done well for us as he is.

His passing, his touch, his composure and his distribution are all way short of a Rodgers central midfielder despite his athleticism and goal threat.

    Me niether.

Last season he was a revelation, but I think that was more to do with him having one eye on England.

McGregor is like a wee mixture of a poor man's Iniesta, and Messi (laugh if you will).

If there’s one player who turns up when the going gets tough it’s McGregor. Mental the amount of games MCGregor saved us to keep the unbeaten run going.

Armstrong is the first to hide when we’re in trouble.

I like Armstrong but he's frustrated me too much this season. He has certain qualities but we need a higher calibre of player to progress.

He'll move down south and have a career comparable to how Hooper and Matthew's have gone so far.

the one thing about Armstrong is he's dynamic box to box and can burst beyond defenses scoring goals, Brown used to do it in his early years but he's more of a holder now and Ntcham while being classy on the ball with a range of passing doesn't have the same drive in the opponents area.

Aye whatever anyone says, he has definitely turned up on the big stage for us..

For all Armstrong was excellent domestically last year....he has without doubt hid and been a man down in Europe..

Mental the * people make up to slate McGregor.

There’s a reason in every big game and European game he’s one of the first called upon by Brendan.

it's all bout options Armstrong would be a big loss ,we could actually pick 2 central midfields that would * all over the league almost every week though.

    --Brown--Ntcham---
    -------Rogic------
    --
    ---Kouassi--Armstrong--
    --------Mcgregor------

I don’t think Armstrong was really cemented in the team and showed to form until after we were out of Europe.

Think people are angry at Armstrong just now so are being slightly irrational. He brings a lot to the team but he isn’t indispensable.

Even last year. I'm trying to remember off my head but I'm pretty sure he was anonymous and woeful in possession then also. Out his depth on the big stage..

I'll take that second part granted that I don't look at him in a good light at all because of his contract situation last season, signing for a year that was a * take and done hee haw this year as well as going under the knife for a few month's, just to have no interest in giving something back to Brendan and the fan's and signing a deal......even for maximum sale value..

Very similar player to Ericsson, and is way better than some are giving him credit for ,would be a sore one if he goes ,had a very stop start season like most of our best attackers this year ,along with rogic and roberts to lose them all in one season is huge and with our budget cant be replaced ,throw dembele in and i cant see us being as strong next season i hate to say .

He’s nothing like Erickson, Armstrong doesn’t have a good enough football brain, you could see that in Europe where he just got lost on the pitch and wandered about doing * all. McGregor has better first touch and control than Armstrong, all Armstrong has got in common with Erickson is able to score a belter and set up goals but that’s only domestically for us.

The one thing Armstrong does give us that no one else can in the team is his running ability, on and off the ball. He hasn’t been doing that this season when he has played though.

Quite possibly the most ridiculous comparison I’ve seen on here.

    They’re nothing alike.
