Yes, you can’t spot lose fat, visceral fat round the abodomen is the last and most difficult to shift

Training your core will do next to zero in fat loss terms but when you do lose the fat there will be more definition

I wouldn’t stop doing strength training as strength training is king and going to the gym everyday hammering cardio gets very boring very quickly.

Have a balance between to the two, cardio days/weight days or blast 20-30 mins cardio after your strength training (never before)

F--k course u can mate if u do alot of cardio you'll lose muscle as well why no strength gaining muscle speeds up metabolism and burns fat faster strength is good .You need knowledge on training mate .

Aye clearly folk will have preferences but to see optimal results ultimately you do need to do both and a lot of people tend to sack the gym because it becomes monotonous, always best to switch up with different routines every 3 months or so imo.

I just can’t get my head around people that come to the gym and every morning all they do is run on the treadmill 5 days a week year round and their body looks no different as to when they started.

*, even one guy in my gym who comes in all dressed in the gear hood up thinking he is a wee ticket and all he does literally is a half hour slow motion stroll on the tread mill, no incline not even walking speed.

Feel like telling him he gets a better workout walking to shops in the morning. :giggle1:

Pulled a muscle in my lower back on Monday. Leaving me unable to pretty much do any form of exercise apart from limping along for the next few weeks minimum. Really annoying as i had a decent level of fitness having played fives for the past few months solid.

Been running 5K every Monday to Thursday for the past while and have 10K on paddys day for charity.

I do much prefer cardio but I do have weights at home that I use and try do 10 reps on my pull up bar everytime I go in and out of my room.

I feel I've a decent balance, I dont want to have my arms huge and not be able to run to the end of the road same vice versa.

If I gave up beer I'd probably have absolutley * all body fat, but Ah love it so * * much.

Always say if I gave up beer I’d be in great shape. Got naturally solid legs and arms but the beer makes me eat badly so * everything up!

Excuses but that snow the other week really * me. Staying with the Mrs and my folks with no weights and hardly any healthy food. Off work this week so could go either way, either go for it full pelt or do next to nothing.
Best intentions in the world though, went and bought some healthy food and gonna take a couple of weight discs and running stuff over to hers for however long I'll be there so we'll see what happens!

Started this last night. Think I’ve over-done it is I canny move.

The cardio workout at the end is a killer after all the weights.

    Best of luck!
