Aye, that punch out from him in the 2nd half was terrific.

Wasn't one of those flimsy wee punches, but he belted it out at least 20 yards.

Bain was the biggest surprise of the day for me, shat masel when I seen de vries was out injured, but clearly it was a * miracle as I think if he was in the nets the day we'd have been pumped.

Delighted with Bain today, and on the basis of that would be more than happy to sign him up here, let Stevie Woods work closely with him, always nice to have home-grown Scottish goalkeeper at the club, plus he'd come in for free, so Lawwell would * himself into oblivion.

Oh, and Neil McCann would be ragin :56::56::56::56:

Anyone else think he looks a lot like Griffiths long-lost brother? :)

this just might be the spur Gordon needs competition wise and vice versa , de-vries is just not up to it .

Seriously though, there looks the foundations of a great keeper there. A bit like an early Forster. And as a 26yo Scot, he could possibly be a lifer too... too early to go all in on him, but pick him up for free on a 3 or 4 year deal, and develop him over the next 2 seasons to see where he goes...

    Exactly this.

Whether De Vries is out for a few weeks or not i'd give Bain a run in goals until the end of the season. He could be a big surprise and worthwhile permanent signing.

Hope Brendan doesn’t drop him after that performance. His all round game today was far superior to what we have seen from DDV.

His distribution a lot better than both DDV and Gordon from today’s showing. Decision making was better than Gordon and DDV.

Will need to see more from him to see how his shot stopping is compared to Gordon but apart from that his distribution and decision making knowing when to come off his line looks a lot better than Gordon.

De Vries should leave in the summer, that much is obvious. The thing is do we stick with Gordon and Bain next season? As much as i like them both i don't think that's strengthening that position as much as we should be.

Let's be honest, de Vries is 36 years old - he's nothing more than a back up to Gordon, who himself is about 35.

We've no PROPER prospects coming through form the ranks, so signing Bain is a no brainer. he's 25, still young for a goalie. Can work with Woodsie, and has proven he can handle the big occasions.

    Happy * days!

Wasn’t to blame for any of the goals and I thought he also looked comfortable distributing the ball great performance today.

Thought he done well today. Won himself a contract I think if he wants to be 2nd choice to someone at least.

Looks like hes got the temperament for it. After conceding such an early goal he could have gone to * but ended up doing very well.

Probably shouldn't have backed up so far into his goal after Boyata lost it. But still, not his fault.

He was brilliant for the rest of the game and I'm delighted for him. It feels rare to see a Celtic keeper command his box these days.

Not even any money involved, all we need to do is offer him a contract in the summer. It's in his hands
