I would start him against Dundee instead of Sinclair.

CHARLY Musonda is settling into life at Celtic and in Glasgow, as well as getting a chilly introduction to Scottish winter weather this week.

And the attacker is hoping to get another taste of Scottish Cup football this weekend as the Hoops get set to face Morton at Celtic Park in the quarter-final of the competition, having played in the 3-2 win over Partick Thistle in the previous round.

The on-loan Chelsea player has yet to experience winning a trophy at senior level but that looks likely to change, given Celtic’s track record of success domestically.

Having the opportunity to win silverware was one of the many reasons which persuaded Musonda to join the Hoops and his hunger for success will be important as the Scottish champions chase another treble in the second half of the season.

“It would be unbelievable to win my first trophy at Celtic,” the Belgian told this week’s Celtic View. “That’s why I’m here. This is a club that constantly deals with the pressure to win trophies. To be a part of that would be fantastic. It would be an amazing experience, especially at a young age.

“You want to be able to be part of a winning team and to be 21-years-old and have the chance to win trophies is an exciting position to be in, so hopefully we can win trophies this year. I’d be very happy to achieve that and I’ll be very proud to be part of a club that wins trophies.”

For that to happen, Celtic have a tough journey ahead of them. Almost every team in the league sets up with a primary focus of preventing Celtic winning and it’s this situation which is proving to be a new challenge for Musonda.

“The challenge here is tough and unique because every team sets up to try and stop you,” he said. “That’s not an easy thing, whereas in European games it’s more open and teams don’t really come out to try and stop us. In that respect it’s hard because the games aren’t really set up like that, they aren’t as open and it’s harder.

“There’s no doubt it’s a good learning curve for me so I think I’ll take that aspect of it as opposed to anything else. It’s a physical game here but it’s also physical in England so I’m used to that.

“I enjoy this challenge, though, to try and break down teams who set up to block us and stop us from winning. That’s really hard, whereas against Zenit the game was more open and there was space for us.

“In situations like that you know you’re going to have a chance to do something. In the domestic games we know we have to be more patient, unless you manage to get an early lead. That’s going to be a very good learning curve for me.”

He won’t start against the Huns because he would get bullied physically, so there would have been little point in starting him today.

I’m sure he’ll get his chance soon enough.

I don't see him doing much this season, he is just too wee - built like a 16 year old boy and sticks out like a sore thumb. He'll need to come back next season at least a stone heavier.

You can be small and nimble and hard to push off the ball - see Messi.

Not really, Messi is a good size he's absolutley solid i'd bet hes a good stone or more heavier than Musonda despite probably being shorter. Messi would look big compared to Forrest who looks big compred to Roberts whos noticibly bigger than Musonda.

Musonda must weight under 10 stone, he's tiny no muscle or nothing on him.

Want to see him take his man on more. He has lots of talent. I think sometimes this season bar Forrest the wingers are playing it too safe and playing a pass rather than going on a run.

Roberts is back now he isn’t scared to take on a man. Musonda can too but haven’t seen too much of that from him yet but it will come.
Sinclair has the ability to take on a man but isn’t trying it enough this season or when he does he loses it.

    Yes he is mate

It is a bit early but other than the pass for McGregor's goal, he hasn't done much. Rodgers kept going on about this quality player he wanted & i don't see it. Hope he proves me wrong & helps us get to the next level in Europe

I'm not saying he isn't a decent player but we were looking for quality that would take us to the next level

Feel like he’s wasted playing through the middle.

Would love to see him on the wing just running at folk!
