I think he'll be our next manager as well. Unless something catastrophic happens at Hibs between now and then

Massive step backwards IMO. Would rather him back than Clarke but neither are anywhere near Rodgers calibre.

Aye I've heard that but sounds pretty mental considering where they are..

Even with the money, how many top top player's really want to go there. If anything, they want away..

When he does go, we have to go all out for a top coach - maybe someone who is overachieving in La Liga, or one of the top leagues, like Mendilibar at Eibar.

He's only just arrived providing we reach our goals this season again .. 5 years is about right for a good Celtic manager Strachan MON, Lennon then he might want to try something new.

It did, but mainly after it had the spine ripped out of it.

Something that hasn’t happened to the team Rodgers has built, yet.

You think Lennon would be a step backwards based on our performances this season?

I don’t want Rodgers out, but if he were to leave I don’t think Lennon would be a terrible replacement. I wouldn’t like to see us gamble on another Ronny type and blow 10IAR.

    He's not going anywhere.

I'm not a big fan of going back for former gaffers etc so would rather consider other options before Lennon again, but definitely wouldn't be against it.

Ideally you'd want someone with Rodgers' type of draw once again but they are hard to come by. Big part of him even being here is the affection he has for the club itself. Other managers that obviously isn't the case.

    Yes.

I wouldn’t gamble on a Deila type appointment but I wouldn’t just go for Lennon because he wouldn’t be a ‘terrible replacement’.

Id rather go out and actually get another top class manager like Rodgers.

Lennon's teams were not as relentless as Rodgers ..he was forever getting k'od in cups. Rodgers wants the lot every year.

I wouldn’t even say Rodgers has built his own team yet and he’s still doing an outstanding job.

He’s on course for two trebles after 2 CL campaigns in his first two seasons. We never looked like ever winning a treble under Lennon, his records for cups/Hampden was poor. Never felt confident going to Hampden under him and this was when Scottish football was a lot weaker than it is now.

Best manager since MON it's hard to compare them two as MON spent a lot of money wich Rodgers is yet to see.

I’m not having a dig at what Rodgers has done at all, I just don’t think Lennon would be the massive step down you suggested.

10 points in a CL group as manager of Celtic was an incredible feat and we would have improved and built on that if we didn’t have the spine ripped out of the team.

Rodgers was the first top quality manager we have appointed since MON. And the fact Rodgers is a Celtic fan certainly helped being able to attract him. Don’t be surprised if we don’t bring in a manager of his quality again for some time.

We should always aim high when appointing a manager 2 CL runs in succession pays for itself, when Rodgers eventually does go we should again as that's the most important position at any club..instead we could just go for a lazy option/safe pair of hands in Lennon again.

Would love to see Brendan here for another decade but the reality is that scenario is extremely unlikely.

As things stand, if Rodgers left Lennon would 100% be my number 1 target.

Lennon ripped up a terrible team left from mowbray and got us out of CL group stages on a shoe string budget. He probably left because the board didn't reward his achievements with a bigger transfer budget. He then went to the destined to fail sinking ship of a club Bolton and then on to hibs. At hibs I think he has done a fantastic job. He has more experience then the last time we appointed him.

As I say, fingers crossed Brendan is with us for years but if for whatever reason he was to leave I'd happily welcome lenny back
