Same, i've always rated him. Under Deila the season he got sacked I thought he was our best player from the start of the season till about Christmas then Deila stopped playing him probably as he wasnt signing a new contract but it was weird to drop our best performer for pretty much the whole 2nd half of the season.

    The kid is world class.

Could well surpass Paul McStay as the best home grown talent we have produced (in my living memory).

My pet hate is fans suggesting moving a full back on to the wing just because he's good going forward. With Izaguirre it was constantly touted. A lot of people fail to realise that most attacking full backs are all about moving into that space from deep.

But I'm starting to think Tierney might be quality out there. He's excellent from a standing position and when facing full backs up. Him and Forrest on the wings gives us old fashioned wingers who can get back, get by their man and put a cross in.

I'd rather keep him where he is.

Currently we are getting the best of both worlds. I also think there is work to be done technically for him, and would need to improve if he was ever going to be a full blown winger. I don't really want him to be though, personally.

Defensive side of his game is just as crucial.

His reaction to that big lump’s tackle on brown was outstanding I thought. Exactly what you want to see from your teammate.

Without doubt he’s the natural successor to broony when he calls it a day.

I think he's such a good full back though, that he allows the left winger space to play, while the winger knows his back is covered on that wing. Danny McGrain was excellent going forward on the other wing but he was such a good full back that you woudnt have moved him into the right wing position cause you'd have lost something defensively.

However the one that stands out is Jacky McNamara. Was a tremendous full back for two seasons before Wim Jansen came and started playing him on the right wing. Thing is although Jacky was a brilliant player, I dont think he was quite as good defensively as Tierney...and definetely not as good as McGrain, so the transition would have been easier.

I really don't see a great candidate in the squad, probs end up back with Fletcher and then he'll be shoehorned in everyday possible.

If McLeish names KT it would actually lift my feelings on his appointment, a sign of change, the new generation leading the way.

Love his celebration how he just sprints for the fans, most pro players gather the adulation of their peers and some * about and do gay dances - Tierney just bolts for the away end opposite side of the stadium to celebrate with the Bhoys.

    He plays for us.

Never thought we'd see another player like him here. He is an absolute legend of a Bhoy.
