2 poor performances but the first one we should have had a penalty in the last min and in the last game we should’ve been out of sight by halftime.

 

Can someone please take Rodgers aside and delicately explain to him that our defence is *.

 

BR: "For the second goal, we didn’t engage quick enough from the throw-in. We got too deep and we have to press the guy who is shooting."

BR: “At 2-0, we have an opportunity in the game. We said at half-time everything was too sideways and backwards and that’s about bravery and courage to play."

BR: "Across the two games, we were much the better in the first game and in this game, if we played with a bit more courage and belief, we could have maybe got a result.”

BR: "We have played very well in some games and showed some great qualities in some games. Of course, we are up against the best of the best, so there is a lot of learning taking place. It’s just consistency really."

BR: “Last week was an outstanding performance, and we came into this game with a great opportunity to come through, but if you don’t start with that aggressive mentality, then it’s really difficult for you."


BR: "We now have to go away & finish the domestic campaign as best we can & try to create another piece of history on that front, and then try and and be better in Europe like we were this year.

 

It’s been like that all season, Brendan.

 

I think they would only be damaging if either aberdeen can learn to beat celtic and rangers, or rangers learn to be consistent. Given both these teams just lost to hibs in consecutive weeks I see no evidence they suddenly start a huge win streak. In spite of celtics poor form, arguably poor attitude, I just dont see the competition capitalising on any celtic slip ups

 

It says much that the thing that gives me most confidence, when it comes to winning the league, is that both Aberdeen and Sevco are *. Nothing that we are doing gives me much confidence at all.

 

Im all for playing football and attacking but rodgers seems very stubborn in his ideals. He needs to learn when to attack but moreso when to defend. Cant set up the same for each scenario or team, we have no plan B but to be honest our plan A is dreadful at the minute. We really had a chance to go further in europe this season, a decent goalie, a solid rb and an eligable cb were all needed but look what we got.

Either the players do not listen to him, or his instructions confuse the players.

 

Needs to apply all this learning next season.. add experienced quality and blend it with youth.

 

One blessing in disguise is apart from Dundee next Wednesday we have no midweek games for rest of season so plenty time to rest and coach

 

I agree!! When i gave my ST up a few years ago i woudn't have keeled over is somebody had told me they were leaving annual P&L figures on our seats!! There's a huge gap between the board's ambition and the average fan!! I'm not judging either way, it's just the way it is!! After saying that, i remember a comment from John Reid years ago when he was at the helm basically laughing at their demise (which we all did) but reading between the lines you could see he was tightening the purse-strings and that would be the plan....the fans just want a wee bit of ambition shown sometimes....i don't think that's asking for too much....i'm not asking for 12 million on Tore Andre Flo ffs!!

If you mentioned speculate to accumulate then half our board would probably have to look up the defintion....the other half would have a heart attack!!

i know mate just think neil lennon has improved as a manager and i think theres a few fans questioning rogers after tonight .

 

Aye, all that time managing in the bottom end of the English championship, then the scottish championship and now top flight has well improved Lenny as a manager

I know folk are seriously * off right now, but idiots are shouting about getting rid of Rodgers and bringing back Neil Lennon?
