I'd rather we gave some of the home-grown Bhoys a proper shirt number for next season, you know? 42, 49 and 63 feels a bit silly to me.

    * I'm getting old.

I don't think he suits the captaincy. Would've been a big call but of the team that played yesterday I think Ajer was the most natural leader on the pitch.

He ran the show against Zenit first leg, started well against St Johnstone.

Both games he wanted the ball, when it came to him he’d feint one way and go the other. Countless times created time and space for himself. He sent a few St Johnstone players on their holidays early in that game... but then he just stopped doing it. Didn’t see it last night. It’s something Broony does too, Ntcham has it in his locker too and I love it, just wish Callum kept the confidence up from that performance.

CM: "They are in a good run of form and are coming in confident, but for us it’s about preparing well and looking forward to the game."

CM: "We’re looking after our own stuff, preparing well and looking forward to the game. As players, you focus on your jobs."

CM: "They are obviously excited to get us in the cup again. We’re not looking at that. We know the tie is coming up in a couple of weeks, but we have the game on Sunday and we have big games coming up in between then."

CM: "They’re on a good run of form and maybe they fancy it. Always going to be part of Celtic-Rangers build-up, but we need to take ourselves away from that and prepare properly."

CM: "It’s a big incentive (to further ahead in title race) and we know if we prepare well and go into the game confident, we’ll be looking to win the game, the same as every game we play in."

CM: "Always a good atmosphere there, and I have good memories, players will be looking forward to it. I have never lost there - three wins, so a good place for me to. We will prepare properly and hopefully we’ll get another win on Sunday."

CM: "That would be great (to score again). In the game before for the last one, I got a goal and it was a great day for the club as well. You can’t describe the feeling of scoring in that game."

CM: "All the Celtic-Rangers games are special. It doesn’t really matter where you sit in the league. They’re always massive games with all the hype surrounds them and to get a goal in any of those games is excellent."

CM: "It means everything to them (fans), bragging rights and everything that goes along with it. We are obviously playing for us in here, but we’re playing for all the Celtic fans as well."

    He should definitely start IMO.

Not only is he reliable, he’s a big game player and a potential match winner to boot.

Thats the team I hope we play with McGregor given freedom to come inside near Rogic/Edouard and Tierney/Ntcham covering the left to allow it. Only really falling into the left to defend but hopefully we'd be on the ball enough for us to be more looking like

    Gordon
    Ajer Brown Simunovic
    -------- Ntcham Tierney
    Forrest Rogic McGregor Edouard
    Dembele

Delighted he's became a fully fledged first team player. Not a world class talent but a technically gifted home grown player is exactly what we should be producing. One thing I like is he's always looking to run or make a forward pass, alongside Rogic the only midfielder who looks to break the lines and not just complete a thousand sideways passes.

Rash with shooting and decision making sometimes but truly a big game player, as goals against Bayern, Zenit and in a few derby games prove.
