[Matchday] Celtic v Zenit ......Thur 15 Feb 20.05 (BT Sport 2)

Great first half. McGregor has been industrious but the final ball from him in particular has been poor (save for the cross across the face of goal).

Really positive first half though, just hope our lack of a killer instinct doesn’t come back to hurt us.

 

Just need to keep this performance up in the second half and we will get the goals.

 

Moussa’s wee flicks and such have been superb. Held it up well.

 

Wouldn’t worry about us tiring too much. We’ve got Rogic, Edouard and Sinclair on the bench.

 

i think you've got to accept that his first touch sometimes is ropey......however his hold-up/linking has being excellent!!

 

We haven't got close to what we've deserved there..

Brendan has got it spot on. Pressing high. No gung ho but countering them well and forcing a lot of mistakes..

Running the midfield and finding plenty of space..

Ajer. Absolutely magnificent at the back. Distribution. Running with it. Simunovic much better when focused..

McGregor. Excellent. Really turned up here and causing them all sorts of problems..

Dembele. Some of his link up play tonight has been top drawer..

Forrest been really good..

Midfield Broony, Ntcham and Kouassi really stamping their authority..

All that's missing is a couple goals..

Playing really well, just need a bit of luck in the final 3rd !! More of the same the 2nd half

 

Really, really happy with our playing style. We've even been clearing the ball if danger was imminent. The directness of our attacks is such that Zenit cannot cope all that well. Sadly, their penalty box defense is an example for us to learn from- fair does to them. When the ball reaches the goal area, we must shoot as fast as possible. Been unlucky as well.

Adding in a second striker would be sensible, later in the game. Dembele's manhandling their defense, but sadly no goal.

 

We have played so much better than I thought we would, just really hope we can finish our chances. Dembele has been as good as I can remember him being

 

Brilliant performance so far.

Seems like they’re targeting Jimmy. Anytime he gets the ball he has two men on him and they’re kicking * out him anytime he goes by them.

 

Mcgregor ntcham ajer standouts ,just too frantic ,stopping us getting the goal ,trying to hurry every ball ,keep the energy and momentum ,but pick the pass in the final 3rd ,we are forcing it too much ,great half ,every one playing well .cmon the tic .

 

Yeah but picking up great space, only thing is he lacks pace to really prosper for us. Just hope he can keep it up.

Moussa great hold up, but fk me looks like I've got a better chance of scoring than him.

He's been on great form in past few games, but KT been poor for meme, poor forward play and caught ball watching multiple times, hope he picks up 2nd half, he's the weak link at the moment for me and if they get joy it'll be down his side.

Last few games we have been good 1st half and poor in the 2nd tonight we need as good a 2nd half as we hadthe 1st half

 

ajer has been brilliant really good player we have here

 

Aye, but even then he's been rusty in the box and really needs to get on the end of some of those crosses. Can't give him much better service than he's been getting.
