People are saying he needs to "bulk up" and "fill out". We only have him for 18 months and that doesnt happen over night so lets hope he can still do a job for us despite being a bit lightweight. I think over the course of the 18 months we will see some special moments from him, but im not sure if he will perform on consistent basis, he could get bullied out of some games. He was fairly anonymous against Partick today which is worrying.

Don’t expect him to be tried on the wing, he’s the no10 BR has been talking about for two seasons.

It will take him time for him to settle, seems to be trying too many needless tricks.

Need to give the boy a run of games before we make a full decision but today I felt like he was a man down at times but when he got space he looked dangerous

that's the spl's problem nobody likes flair players , as long as you can kick and tackle then everything is fine.. guys a born entertainer imo class with the ball , technique most can only dream of.

I'm not convinced he seems to like a trick and a flick bit I'm not seeing any end product there was a few times today he would get the ball and do some trick face the opposing player up then pass back all this does is slow the play up and allow the opposition to get back in position

Just managed to watch the game back pretty much like the Kille game some flashes and he offered nothing else.

I really hope Rodgers plays him out wide cause I really don't see him as a 10.

I hope he gets a run of games maybe instead of Sinclair and see how he does out wide I know he has had only two starts and a sub appearance but I'm not impressed.

I'm hoping it just a bit of rust and getting used to a new side. Time will tell.

He's been dropped in at the deep end starting the last couple of games without having a chance to build a rapport with the players around him, I think if Rogic was fit he'd have been playing 60-70 minutes then Musonda coming off the bench. Or if we have a game done and dusted like to see how he does on the wing replacing Sinclair or Forrest.

Still, he hasn't played that much first team football, it'll take him a while to get up to speed.

Thats all well and good if you're influencing the game. From what I have seen he's been posted missing in both his games to date.

Btw you can still have top notch technique combined with a wee bit of dig. All the best players do.

Nah he was saying he was ball watching too much and not getting involved. Thats what I was agreeing with.

Sinclair doesn't have dig either but plenty skill we need the right balance Kouassi should be playing more, more players to help out Broony we win the war first then the class tells.

I think Brendan should get him to concentrate on doing the basics to start off with, get him to integrate with the team, the tricks can be done when we're 3 or 4 ahead ahead in a game.

Sinclair has been honking this season but I see what you'e trying to say but when I say a bit of dig I'm not talking like Scott Brown levels of it just a desire to go and get the ball when ur not seeing it, closing down & pressurising a bit. Not really seen much of that and in games like today and Kilmarnock when they're being aggressive and pressuring us we're clearly struggling.

Agreed Kouassi should be playing more but in saying that mulumbu outstripped him in midfield last week as well.

If you look back over the forum and people’s opinions over new players a common trend is obvious. Many posters are quick to slag them off. Just look at the ncham thread for an example, KT , lustig, Wanyama and Sinclair to name a few. Irrational judgements on debut or early celtic career performances. He’s a talent we are lucky to have. 18 months is a long time in football. Ive no doubt he will become a star player for us. I’m sure we will be sad to see him leave when he does. He will go back to Chelsea a vastly improved player after working with our coaches and Brendan.
Give the lad a chance is what I’m trying to say

Will never be a prolific goal scorer but that’s not what we will need him for.

He’s creative, he can dribble and he can spot and play a pass. When he’s eventually integrated and fully settled we will see the best of him where technique matters most - European football.

Too early to judge him but so far I’m not overly convinced.

Would rather have played Johnston today so we were developing one of our own players but Brendan obviously rates Musonda and he knows a * of a lot more than I do! Hopefully he’s just getting used to our style and can kick on.
