Messi hasn’t done too bad for himself despite his height and small physique.

It’s this kind of attitude that has resulted in players getting released from clubs who have a lot of ability. Like Andy Robertson for example we released him because he was too small and he has gone on to prove the club wrong. Plenty other examples that have come back to bite teams on the *.

Musonda showed in glimpses of what he can do today but it is difficult when you have 2 or 3 guys on you every time and then you are constantly getting hacked to the ground with the other team avoiding punishment. Refs need to protect our players and punish these players who are clearly disrupting play.

    Size doesn’t matter :fear:

But like Tierney, Forrest and Roberts he probably would benefit from some extra sessions in the gym but I don’t think it’s essential as he clearly has a lot of ability and needs to protected by the referees as teams are clearly going to target him as they know how good he is.

Today was the sort of game Paddy Roberts would have popped up with a goal last season, was hoping Musonda would do the same today but was fairly anonymous. Im not worried, I seen enough from him against Hearts to see hes going to be an entertaining player for us and a good signing.

Always thought he would take about a month to gel.The boy hasnt playd much first team football last six months,if any.Think a lot of fans have unrealistic expectations, thinking hes goin to come up n tear league apart. The boy needs a bit of time, hel come good.

Thought he looked good. A few more weeks and him on the centre skinning players and roberts on the wing... teams are gonna * a brick.

We are very poor at taking advantage of a team putting 2 or 3 on our creative players. If there were 2/3 marking Musonda that means there is space elsewhere. Too one dimensional and we keep going to the same players to create and it makes us way too predictable.

I mentioned this in the inconsistency thread I put up yesterday too.

We leave our creative players very isolated. If you actually look out for it when we play it's noticeable as * for me.

Likes of Sinclair, Forrest etc are left with 2 men on them and the midfielders and Dembele just stand and watch a lot of the time expecting them to do it all.

Forrest I feel sorry for especially as he doesn't have the support of a KT bombing down. Even Sinclair is the same on the other side as the link up between that pair hasn't been the same this season.

If he gets a start at home against a team who give us some space he’ll rip them apart. Hope him and Paddy get the nod for Zenit
