I'm not a fan of system with 3 central defenders. We are far more comfortable both in attack and in defense when we play with 4 at back.

BR: We weren’t creative enough with the ball. It was a disappointing day for us and we’ve not had too many of them.”

BR: "I respect the surface is dreadful and everything else around that, but we weren’t good enough in terms of our creativity today and in terms of the talent we had on the pitch."

BR: “We’ve won the three of our games here before but when you don’t create so many chances it’s never really a good game of football.”

BR: "The injuries are unfortunate but I’ll see where we’re at. I don’t know how serious the injuries are as of yet. We just need to wait and see. @SimunovicJozo is fit but he struggles on the astro. He’ll be ready for next week though.”

Football has been poor all season. Its not just the last few months. Very few entertaining games all season.

I also have been thinking this season is similar to Strachan's 2nd season, like that year we are usually boring to watch and lack that spark in attack, but at least in Strachan's 2nd year we had this nack for coming back and nicking late winners. This season we are not replicating getting late winners. The chopping and changing isn't working for the team.

I'd like to see us with 2 strikers as much as possible, we were much better vs Hearts with Dembele & Edouard on together.

You can’t be entertaining when teams are literally camped behind the ball at all times.

    That said - punt.

Sure Brendan will demand more intensity and knock a lot of this side to side stuff on the head

Teams being camped isn't anything new to us though.

We had to deal with it last season as has every Celtic side for years!

But how many entertaining games have there been? Everyone complained about O’Neill’s style, Strachan’s style and Deila’s ‘good intentions’, despite the play not being very good.

I just think this expectation of entertaining football is daft when you consider where we play and who we play against.

Teams will open up a bit more if we score and force them out to try to get back into the game.

This season not as many. Last season a lot more, definitely.

Just don't feel it can be used as an excuse for our form performance wise. We are perfectly capable of putting in more 'entertaining' performances with the players we have.

1st half during the week against Hearts for instance is the kind of intensity we should be benchmarking.

I take your point, but we were fresh last season in terms of management and the type of players that are likely to make a game entertaining.

We’ve had injuries to key players and perhaps we’ve just been found out a bit. ‘Second season syndrome’ etc.

Hold on a minute. Are you actually suggesting we sack Brendan Rodgers?

we are boring to watch.. missed the game but followed on Talk Celtic. For me its always been our confusion between building from the back and * about.. and we are very good at * about in our own half, side passes.. slowing our own game allowing teams like Killie to organize at the back.

no longer prepared to use my Saturday and Sunday nights watching this.. i got better things to do. No more 3 am for me midweek. The football on show is just not worth it. The excuse was players needed a rest/break .. but we all knew this was not down to tiredness.. our players are not as good as the think they are and always look to play possession football rather than attacking football

Hope things improve before Zenit or we're getting pumped..all over in first leg :(

we had 3 cbs across the back 4 which was quite strange, thought when Boyata got injured Gamboa would come on and play RB, instead brings on Bitton so we still had 3 centre backs on then when Ajer got injured the simple choice was to bring on Gamboa for a straight swap, definitely wanted to avoid playing with attacking full backs yet we needed it to stretch the game (could have even brought Miller on). Other than that can't really fault him for any decisions, the players were shocking- last time we played them away we won 2-0 with Forrest playing as a lone striker ffs way too many pointless back passes slowing the game down. ps. have never seen an opposition player domestically perform as well as Mulumbu did

    Good stuff.

One less roaster casting their gloomy shadow over our club.

    Adios :bye1:
