Brown is a tough but fair player. He's proved it over the years because everyone tries to wind him up. It's those players who don't get booked.
Only time Broony let me down was when Neymar the master of the wind up got him to react. We were still in the game too but Broony, who is a master of the wind up lost it for one second with the only Barca player on the pitch who would've reacted like that.
Scott Brown should get more protection from the refs up here because loads of players go hard into him and because he doesn't go over he gets nothing from the ref. I bet he's not in the top 10 yellow carded players in Scotland last 5 years.
Anyway, when I seen him having a bad game today it was a bad sign cause he is the heart beat of our team but as said when a Smart car can't park on the pitch then he can't make any deadly passes. We should ask Doc Marten to make special soles for our boots so we don't get injured next time.
And next time we play Hearts put the Development Team cause after the pumping it'll be funny to hear Levein's excuse "we lost because we are morally the better team. That was disgraceful from Brendan, especially getting them to celebrate every goal like this \o/ . That's extremely inTimidating because it's breaking the OBAF rules and the polis just stood watching the Celtic crowd because after listening to the songbook they understand the history and how there is no sectarian involved, they actually prefer getting positioned in front of the Tims cause it's like a brilliant folk festival.

Celtic skipper Scott Brown believes that Craig Levein’s comments had an immediate impact on officials.

Hearts manager Levein remarked last week that “everyone needed protection from Scott Brown” after Harry Cochrane was injured in a clash with the Hoops captain.

Brown was booked in the 1-0 defeat to Kilmarnock on Saturday afternoon and felt that Levein’s words were a factor in Kevin Clancy’s decision.

“He has done his job, hasn’t he?” said Brown. “I was booked with my first foul [on Saturday] and I think that is exactly what Craig was looking to do.”

Meanwhile, Brown has also maintained that there is no need for any knee-* reactions after Celtic’s second domestic defeat this season.

Kilmarnock took all three points on Saturday but Brown has maintained that Celtic are capable of rediscovering their best form in the conclusive run-up to the season.

“At Celtic it is always a crisis if you lose a game,” he said. “We know that. We weren’t at our best against Kilmarnock but when you are playing on a pitch like that it is difficult to play the way we would like to.

“It’s not an excuse. It is just one of the reasons why we never really got going.

“But we were slaughtered in December when we lost to Hearts and we were able to respond in the right manner. This will give us the chance to do that again.

“It is about picking ourselves up and making sure that we are ready to get going. We have Partick Thistle in the Scottish Cup this weekend.

“We also have a free week in the build-up to that one so it will give us a chance to regroup and focus on what we need to do.”

Jack Hendry and Charly Musonda made their debuts for Celtic at Rugby Park with Brown insisting that the Parkhead club will see the best of them in the coming months.

“It is always difficult when you first come into a new team but they have already settled in with the lads pretty well,” he said. “Jack has been playing so will be up to speed with us pretty quickly and we know that he is a good player.

"He is strong and had great potential to go on and do well here.

"Charly needs a bit of time but I am sure that we will see what he has got once he gets match sharp. There are a lot of games coming up for us over the next few weeks so hopefully we can start to find our pace again.

"The club have worked hard to bring in some new faces in the window and I am sure we will see their impact between now and the end of the season."

Celtic have been left to sweat on the fitness of Kristoffer Ajer and Dedrcyk Boyata after they joined the growing injury list at the club.

The Parkhead side face Zenit St Petersburg in the Europa League next week and Brendan Rodgers does not have his problems to seek ahead of it in terms of personnel.

"We will have to wait and see on how they are but whoever plays we will be ready for it," insisted Brown.

Scott Brown’s irritation at his booking at Rugby Park this weekend will grow after confirmation that the player will now miss Celtic’s next league game.

Brown will add to Celtic’s personnel problems, although with almost a fortnight before the Parkhead side are back in league action, Brendan Rodgers will look to have a few players fit and back in the starting XI.

The Hoops midfielder was irked that the yellow card at Rugby Park was given at all, believing that Heartsmanager Craig Levein’s comments in the aftermath of Celtic’s win last week made him a marked man.

Levein had claimed that “all of Scottish football needed protection” from Brown, a comment offered in the aftermath of a challenge that left Tynecastle kid Harry Cochrane injured.

That left Brown irked at the weekend, claiming that Kevin Clancy booked him for his first foul in the game.

With a glut of Celtic players currently out injured, the news that Brown will miss the league game against St Johnstone on Sunday, 18th February will be another irritation to Rodgers..

The Celtic captain will be eligible for this weekend’s William Hill Scottish Cup tie against Partick Thistle, a game that is followed by the Europa League first-leg clash against Zenit St Petersburg.

However, he will sit out the league encounter the following Sunday as the Hoops host Tommy Wright’s side.

Gutted he'll miss the St Johnstone game. It'll be hard enough as they always give us a decent game and it's sandwiched in between the Zenit games.

Having zero luck just now with injuries and suspensions.

 

I don’t mind. Gives him a rest and avoids the prospect of him getting injured and missing the second leg.

 

Be interesting to see how we get on with Eboue and someone else in the middle of the park. Will be an indication of whether he can be Browns replacement or if we need to look elsewhere.
