Yet we have fans on this site still thinking we can't sign players for 3 million on different threads.

Makes me laugh cause they clearly believe that we can't sign players because we play in Scotland.

If that's the case I've said many times before we may as well pack it in and call it a bogey!

Money is in the bank yet we are still penny pinching, criminal if you ask me and others like us who can clearly see that the board is mis-managing the club.

You just have to look at WGS in his last window and we should have backed the manager instead we got Wilo Flood and we lost the league and gave them a life line for 3 seasons.

People forget this happened and should * remember. We should be looking to improve yet we are dragging our heels yet again.

How ling is a manager like Rodgers will take this *...... That's my major concern.

 

Agree mostly with that but I have to say...how can Celtic fans still not spell van Dijk! See that spelling everywhere. Not like we saw it on his shirt nearly every week for 2 years lol.

You're harping on about how well sevco have done in the transfer window . They have signed dross for peanuts that won't make the gap any smaller. In terms of us this season we aren't any worse off personnel wise as nobody of note has been sold - we have however been very unfortunate with injuries ( Rogic, Roberts, Dembele , Griffiths, Amrstrong, CB's ) haven't been able to get a rhythm going all season as a result. We are the same side once everyone is fit and on form again .

 

Steven fletcher would not determine who won the league that season have to accept the fact that wgs got it wrong that season along with some of the worst refereeing decisions going that season

Is the standard of our football better this season or last season ?

 

Irrelavent when talking about personnel. Is our standard of player better or worse than last season? I'd argue it's better with Ntcham in.

 

I agree Nitcham has improved the team but results this season are not as good this season as last .
This must mean the rest of the SPL has improved or we have stagnated or regressed or a combination of the two . Is it unreasonable to hope we sign a player who can walk into the first 11 and improve the quality of the team ?

 

Or we had an historic season last season that'll unlikely be matched in the next 100 years.

That’s IF those two signings happen. I guess if we keep Dembele it would make the window reasonable, but only if Musonda is an 18month deal.

What’s glaring is the GK and that real bit of quality at CB, but I can see why CB hasn’t been strengthened with the amount we have on our books, I haven’t given up on Jozo either. But for me Boyata should be a last resort and will never be good enough.

Gordon was excellent with the ball at his feet v Thistle and his distribution was quick, simple and accurate if he’s can continue like that, then we may be ok until the summer. But we need to bring a GK in definitely.

It's like when we got Ronny in if the zombies had been in the league that would never have happened and look what happened when they did return the board pushed the boat out a bit and got Rodgers.

We are in a position of strength again and it's time we added quality instead of waiting around and the same old we tried but.....

 

I would rather a right back than centre back at this stage. That, plus a creative type and we would be far stronger.

We have been slightly poorer this season because of injuries to all areas of the pitch , particularly in the attacking third. Griffiths , Roberts, Dembele, Rogic , Armstrong all out recently and none played last weekend . That's your top 5 attacking threats from last season nowhere to be seen . Get everyone fit again and we will match last seasons levels.
