Feel like we've been saying this about Bitton for the past two years and somehow he stays.

He's decent backup in midfield and centre half anyway. Just have to hope Ajer and Simunovic/Boyata don't get hurt otherwise it's Bitton up against Zenit. No thanks.

Would rather he sticks around for now.

Should arguably be starting in terms of his contribution over the season, has been one of our better performers tbh.

Bitton has been a bit harshly treated Imo, he was superb against at pittodrie and vs Bayern and actually allows us to play out successfully from the back, should be kept as back up centre back as he is better than boyata and simunovic

Agreed. He’s been our best centre half this season. Best defensive player, actually!

Bayern's winner highlights why he will never be a CB tho..

He has done well there tho and we may need him in the midfield the way things are going with injuries..

He remains an important squad player.

There's worse out there. Likely low

Was rumours he hated it here, but he really does look as if he enjoys the being at the club and city.Probably one of jabbas propoganda fibs as biton was our best player under diela.

Ive always liked him. Still reckon if he was to be given a run in the midfield he’d be one of our better players again.

Clearly loves it here, and the club, and the whole squad seems to love him, with Rodgers singling him out for praise and signalling for the crowd to give him specific applause at the start of the season.

Nir seems a decent guy, as has been mentioned he appears popular amongst the squad, never seems to moan about being on the bench, and put in a few decent shifts at CB when we were severely lacking.

A lot of fans won’t like reading this next bit, but I do think that it’s his nationality that is the reason why some aren’t accepting of him or don’t particularly like him.

May be true in some people's case, but for the year before Brendan came in he was almost a wasted jersey in midfield.

No urgency to press, giving away stupid fouls, evident lack of pace, shooting from all angles at the edge of the box and missing. They style we play now requires a lot more legs in the middle that he just doesn't offer.
As a ball playing centre back his passing ability is great, but I struggle to justify him playing over any of our other current midfielders.

It's 100% true. Unless he spoke out against the Israeli government and became a Palestinian supporter, there' some who won't take to him the way they would others in the same position because he's an Israeli Jew.
