Can we admit that this team needs a major overhaul?

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by BR Fenian Army, Dec 30, 2017.

  1. Don't be silly...

    George.

  2. BR on January window: "There will be work done. We want to improve that strength and depth in the group. There will probably be players going out that want games. It will be a revolving door in the month of January so certainly we want to strengthen."

  3. Not major overhaul, that’s nonsense.

For me it starts with Gordon, he allows teams to press us by taking too long to pass it allows teams time to press us high. And when he does pass it’s often to an area where we need to battle for a 50/50. He often has both CBs and Brown to pass to but usually lumps it high and wide for KT or Forrest to challenge..

  5. Aye let's buy an overpaid sick note!

  6. People need to chill the * out.

We'll bring in quality in January.

We'll have a well needed rest.

    We'll win the league.

We can still win the treble.

    We're still in Europe.

Maybe it's the vodka, maybe I'm just a chilled out girl... it's all gonna be good. In Brendan we trust.

  7. We don't need a major overhaul and missing Roberts and Rogic has been a huge blow to us. However we absolutely need a new RB, a new CB (the German guy notwithstanding) and a new GK. We also must buy Paddy Roberts this summer.

He's one of the best centre halves in world football when fit. As for the wages, he seems a man of great integrity to me that would sacrifice the money for a few more years of Champions League football.

    George.

  8. Anyone who wants to go such as Armstrong, let them go and reinvest that money. Need a new GK and hopefully Compper and Ajer can turn into a decent partnership, untested though. Start bleeding Ntcham, Eboue and even Bitton in centre mid and Ffs give Brown a rest from having to control midfields and bring it out from defence by himself a lot of the time. Definitely do need investment in the team though, and guys ready to come right into the first team, we spent a good wedge on Eboue and seen practically nothing of him, it gets frustrating.

  9. new defence besides tierney and well see how ajer gets on possibly, is a necessity. midfield and attack is a case of regaining some of that form from last year. were a shell of that team now going forward. just thinking back to how moussa stu and sinky played in the same game this time last year and its staggering the difference.

  10. So he's the best in the world for a couple a games a season.

You know him? He tell You he would take a wage cut? Give it a rest eh!

  11. The aim should always to be to improve, regardless.

  12. Worth the risk imo! At the very least he'd be good for the dressing room.

    George.

  13. Brilliant.

Let’s get him on 40 grand a week so he can motivate the players from the treatment table.

  14. I totally agree

  15. He's * injured all the time.

  16. That's only worse case scenario though, very possible we could be getting a world class operator for very cheap.

    George.

  17. I’m no coming.

    Vincent.

  18. Must admit, this tickled me! I'm not saying he'd definitely come, but worth a try, eh?

    George.

  19. You his agent?
