Shows glimpses with the first team. I'd like to see him get a run at the end of the season or possibly a loan to a Motherwell or someone like that..

When you watch him for his actual age group against the best side's in Europe, he's always the one that looks head and shoulders above the rest and could play for any of the best young side's in Europe and do well for me..

I think he's an absolutely outstanding talent. Destined to go all the way for us..

I liked the look of him last night, seemed a bit bigger and a good bit quicker as well. He was choking to get on the ball all the time, movement a bit like Sinclair of last season where he kept going a bit more central and was always pointing to recieve the ball.

He looked last night, even though he only got on the ball 4 or 5 times that he is ready to come into the team. He could easily be playing more games, same could be said of Eboue and Ajer as well who keep looking good but barely getting a game.

I think he's one of the players Brendan was talking about loaning out.

Should try and get him a move similar to Callum McGregor.

In saying that, there's no reason he can't be pushing our first team. Hardly overflowing in that area at the minute. But it won't be regular minutes.

I've been championing him big time from a couple of next gens ago when he was only getting fleeting appearances. Looked to have something special then..

My stream died and sod's law he comes on and does well..

He's excellent. Pace. Direct. Skillful as *. Excellent close control and running control. Low centre of gravity. Can go both way's, inside like Sinclair does (very very similar) or can go on his wrong/left side and beat you touch tight on the byline. Good finisher. Clever movement..

I'd be all for giving him more game time but I've a feeling he won't see much and that's what he needs..

It's just confidence and feeling like he's arrived on the big stage. Once that comes I genuinely think he'll flourish and play with more freedom and intent..

A McGregor move to England is a good shout actually, even at this early stage..

Think Nesbitt is doing quite well at MK Dons and Johnston has far bigger potential..

Such a skilful and exciting player to watch.

Looked a lot quicker last night than I remember. His pressing was really good because of his pace.

Want to see him get more starts. Also would like to see more of Calvin Miller as well.

Don’t loan him out. Play him.

He’s the type of player that should be getting more time whilst we’re leg weary and aiming for the break.

Which is why he was on the bench and got minutes. Think he’ll get some more at the weekend if we’re winning.

Thing is he won't play regularly enough at the minute.

Now might be a good time to get him some consistent game time over 6 months. Especially with 2 more rival players (Morgan and Christie) due to come in/back in the summer.

Depends on who we would loan him to.

Signing Morgan and keeping him in January, with Johnston going to St Mirren for 6 months would have been ideal.

If St Mirren were able to guarantee that Johnston would see plenty of game time them I’d still be in favour of him going there.

Honestly thought he looked brilliant for the short space of time he was on. Would love to see him get more game time in future. Looked real sharp and eager. Could be argued Tierney started in a similar way - except he really burst on to the scene

Should see a good amount of game time now with Hayes possibly *.

Still needs a lot of work but should see a good amount of minutes for the rest of the season.

Yep loads to improve with but loads to work with..

    Intensity. Final decision. Defensively..

All thing's you'd expect a kid to need to brush up on..

His touches and link up play with KT and Ntcham at time's was lovely. Skinned Cammy Kerr a few times to the point I think he'll be glad he's gone..

    Showed enough quakity..

When he got involved thought he was decent. Certainly created a few chances and probably unlucky not to get a goal. Did think he dropped out of the game at times but good experience for him.

Yeah started well and the team seemed to get a lift from his intro , but slowly his marker started getting to grips with him ,noticed he lacked the pace to burn the full back or he wasn't confident to go on the outside against him .

Think a loan to a Killie or something would be good for him.

Was impressed by him today, think he just needs more game time and he'll bed in fine.

Fantastic potential there but loads to work on. I would expect him to look slightly better in certain areas every time we see him.
