He done the Sammy baw trick as well, the one when the Big Greek Adonis pretended to throw the ball at Barry(8). :giggle1:

Ferguson and Fraser both must have thought it was a bar of soap that was getting flung at them because they shat it and tried to duck out of the way.

Especially second half when Sinclair actually started moving and didn’t sit nailed on to the wing. Such an important part of our game is that he does that.

KT on last night’s goal: “That’s three for the season and my new record. The gaffer set me a target so hopefully I hit it. Got one my first season, two last year and three now, so I’m happy with that so far

KT: “I think we knew we had to bounce back and give the fans something to cheer about. I thought it was a dominant display and we looked comfortable.”

KT: “You always want to win every game. We knew the run had to end at some point. Obviously disappointed with how it ended but as a squad we are judged on how we bounce back and I think we did that very well.”

KT: “The record was unbelievable and we wanted to keep it going for as long as possible. Unfortunately for us it’s over but I think in a few years we’ll look back on what we achieved and realise it was a once in a lifetime record.”

KT: “It’s been a very busy month for us and it’ll be a tough game on Saturday so we’re looking forward to it. They had a great result against Hibs so they’ll be coming in to this full of confidence.”

KIERAN Tierney stated that Celtic will be looking to widen the gap at the top of the Scottish Premiership when they meet Aberdeen this Saturday, but he's anticipating another difficult game against an in-form Dons side.

The champions responded to their first loss in 18 months with a convincing 2-0 win over Patrick Thistle at Paradise last night (Wednesday) and will now face second-place Aberdeen this Saturday at Celtic Park.

The Hoops swept aside Derek McInnes’ side 3-0 in October in what was one of the most impressive performances of the season so far, with Tierney among the goals, and he explained that he and his team-mates are determined to do the same this Saturday, but they know it will be tough.

“That night just clicked for us,” Tierney said. “Our pressing and passing was really good and it ended up being a great night for us. Aberdeen didn’t do anything wrong, we just played really well. We’ll look to do the same this weekend, but we know it’s going to be very tough on Saturday.

“They’ll have analysed the last game to see what they can do to stop us. They’ve done very well since that last game. They’re only two points behind us so it’s tight at the top and we’ll be looking to make the gap a bit bigger.

“They’ve had a great result against Hibs so they’re going to be coming into this full of confidence. We’ve bounced back well so it’ll be a good game.”

This weekend’s game comes amidst a packed run of fixtures for Brenden Rodgers’ side and it will be Celtic’s seventh in the month of December. However, Tierney insisted he was happy to be playing so much football, especially after getting his third goal of the season against Partick Thistle.

“That’s three goals for the season so far," he said. "That’s my new record so I’m happy with that. The gaffer set me a target so hopefully I’ll hit it. I got one goal in my first season, two in my second and now I’m on three so I’m happy with that so far.

“Last Christmas I was out injured. I was gutted not to be involved as the team played so well. You always want to be a part of that so I don’t care how busy it is. It’s just good to be involved.”

Can see him getting another 3 or 4 this season.

Wonder how many Rodgers has suggested he hits.

He has 6 goals and 25 assists in 108 games, some return.

    3.48 - Tierney 108 Games 6 Goals 25 Assists
    4.80 - Lustig 216 Games 18 Goals 27 Assists
    4.95 - Agathe 183 Games 11 Goals 26 Assists
    5.04 - Izaguirre 252 Games 5 Goals 45 Assists
    5.15 - Hinkel 103 Games 1 Goal 19 Assists
    5.69 - Matthews 148 Games 5 Goals 21 Assists
    8.73 - Wilson 131 Games 3 Goals 12 Assists
    10.9 - Naylor 142 Games 3 Goals 10 Assists

The first number is how many games on average it takes them to get a goal or assist. Tierney blowing everyoe out the water despite being aged 17-20 in his career with us

Lee Naylor's record is abysmal when you consider the type of football we played back then. A lot more crosses into the likes of Hesselink for a good couple seasons, although at the same time I suppose we weren't as expansive with Strachan.

Tierney only 1 assist off Agathe is crazy as well. Once again, mainly due to the style we had under MON. Loads of crosses into the big men.

O'Neill's team had a lot of link-up play up top though so, lay-offs, knock downs, flick ons and 1-2s so the attacking players around the box like Larsson, Sutton, Hartson, Petrov, Moravcik, Thompson probably 'stole' a lot of assists that came from Agathe, Agathe was pish at crossing but he did put a lot of balls into the box.

During Strachan's whole 4 year spell in charge only 6 goals and 28 assists came from full-backs Hinkel(9), Naylor(9), Wilson(5), Caddis(2), Telfer(2) and Camara(1) got assists and Hinkel, Naylor, Doumbe and Telfer got 1 goal each and Naylor got 2.

In Lennon's first season alone we got at least 5 goals and at least 17 assists from full-back just from Cha, Wilson and Izaguirre, then whatever Mulgrew and Ledley got from there as well as they played there often and got 18 goals and assists between them.

In Lennon's 3rd season alone we got 6 goals and 28 assists just from Lustig, Matthews and Izaguirre not taking into account McGeouch, Ambrose, Ledley or Mulgrew - like the last game of that season Mulgrew scored 2 and set 2 up I think when he played left-back against Kilmarnock. Thats more goals and assists in 1 season than in Strachan's 4 seasons combined.

Can’t believe the Agathe stat, think I can remember 2 decent crosses in the 5 year he was here one vs Ajax and one vs Porto

He also put that ball in against the Huns that Larsson took the touch and volleyed it in on the turn, and another one against the Huns where he put a low ball in and I think Maloney dummied it and Hartson leathered it in, just two others I recall.

Would love to see the stats of Izzy and kt and 108 games each can't imagine there would be much difference

That cunting injury ruined Izzy after his storming first season. But like you say for a 17-20 year old to be posting those type of returns from defence is insane and just further proof of what a talent the man is.

Izaguirre had 1 goal and 21 assists in his first 108 games, close to Tierney only 5 goals and 4 assists less despite as you say he spent about 5 months out injured in his 2nd season.

Could probably make a 2 hour film of all the goals he scored and set up, if he continues scoring and assisting at the same rate if he plays 600 games for us he should score about 35 goals and set up about 140.

Latter part of Izzy's career here, his crossing took the *..

Out of 10 you'd get 3/4 in the stands and another few pishy one's with maybe 1 belter..
