It seems like this season its becoming an all too familiar thing.

If we would have taken our chances.. If we would have defended better..

We need to regain our ruthlessness and our sharpness. Hopefully this season its just fatigue and that now with a break in the games and perhaps a new signing or two we regain our form.

Id really like to see us getting Mcginn as i think his added energy and dig would benefit us. It might also allow us to give Brown added rest time when he needs it.

BR on #UELdraw: “We’re delighted to be in the draw and it’s an exciting game for us. It’s a beautiful city St. Petersburg from my memory out there. We’re really looking forward to that game when it comes along and it’ll be nice to see Roberto Mancini again.”

BR: “They’re doing ok in their league and they have some experienced players such as Branislav Ivanovic who I know from Chelsea. Like ourselves, they’ll be looking to get through. It’s a game we’ll really look forward to when it comes around.”

BR: “We’ll have our 100th game by the end of this month and then we’ll have the winter break. This will be my second experience of it and it’s such a sensible thing to do for the league.”

BR on busy schedule: “It’s tiring physically and mentally but the players have been coping with it really well. We’re five points clear at the top of the league with a game in hand and the players’ attitude has been superb.”

BR on yesterday’s game: “We take the point and we reflect on it this morning with the players. The players deal with everything that is thrown at them.”

BR: “We want to win every single game we play and we’ve virtually done that. We still have a lot of work to do on the defensive side. We still have lots of improvements to make.”

Things are a bit stale at the minute IMO.

I'm very interested to see what he does in January. Could do with putting a bigger stamp on the side. Defence in particular.

He's clearly not happy with thing's at the minute, as seen by his annoyance in his last 2 post match interviews..

I expect Armstrong to be sold. Virgil to be sold (although that's not how we conduct our own business) so fund's will be available for decent money to be spent..

Central defender. Winger. Another centre mid possibly..

Also noticed that Brendan has been quick to mention about other clubs having spent more than us, is this a veiled criticism of our Board ?

Hope this January window won't be another case of oh well we tried, we don't want any more bench warmers or ones for the future.

You can write the script for our board! Clearly Brendan wanted Onyekuru last season we didn’t get him for whatever reasons, he wanted a CB in summer the Rivaldo deal fell through with a week of window left, we tried to get denayer on loan failed, i said on here the night the window closes give it a week or 2 and we will have made a “last ditch bid” for someone and bang on the money it comes out about Phil Jagielka, we all know the script with this board!

No I think it's more a justification of us losing in Europe

Won the first leg of the treble and secured European football after Christmas in that time.

Secured European football after Xmas in Belgium. It’s not good form was my point. You can’t be that sure of the treble surely. Scottish Cup will throw up some tough games.

    We, we... can't be sure..

It wouid be a phenomenal achievement something that's never been done, but we've done the first part.. so not all doom and gloom.

Wasn’t being doom and gloom but wouldn’t win treble on current form. BR needs to try something different. The football has got boring, slow and predictable. We were lucky to get a point at Fir park and Easter road.

Don't think its a case of trying something different, as what we have done so far has gotten us to 68 games undefeated and 4 trophies.

However he has to give the likes of Ntcham and Eboue more game time, even Ajer. Although we look fatigued slightly I'd like to see us find more of a settled side, as part of our iffy performances of late (if not results) has been down to not having a settled side IMO.

Too many players not pulling their weight consistently too. Needs at least 3 new faces in January and more of a stamp on this side.

Gordon and Boyata would be the first two I'd look to alter, with a new winger and left back also coming in, as KT is playing far too many games.

That is the most concerning part for me is that we don’t have a settled side nearly half way into the season. He can’t seem to decide on the midfielders apart form Brown.

Domestically we have won 7 out the last 10 stats mean jackshit! We weren’t lucky to get a point against Motherwell we battered them Tierney missed a sitter! Killie at home played 11 men behind the ball we scored and failed to take our chances and as for yesterday that’s the only game I can say I was genuinely * off with since Brendan came in Forrest miss was diabolical from a pro footballer but we regroup and we go again!

Even Brown is playing too many games, IMO.

He should be the first name for the big, tougher tests and is a given for Europe, however games like Wednesdays at home against Hamilton, we should be going with a variant of Eboue/Ntcham/McGregor/Armstrong/Rogic and giving Brown a deserved rest.

We also need to start getting used to him not being there, as one day we won't have that option of him rousing the side. The distinct change when he isn't playing is a worry, and has been since Lennon was here.

He will always be missed but someone has to grab their baws and step up.

We must have played more games than most European sides, using the squad doesn't automatically weaken it as the 5-1 victory over Motherwell proved.
