    Was watching earlier and stunned the main major awards Ronaldo has won the last 6 in a row against messi .one Clown in the studio even said people begining to realise that Ronaldo is far superior in every department to messi .and they may not remember who messi was in 10 years .such the dominance of ronaldo now .

    In terms of the wider debate over who is the better player...whenever you see those within the media, as well as current or ex pros being asked...very rarely do you see anyone other than Man Utd fans/players/ex players saying Ronaldo.

    Just about everyone else says Messi.

    Ronaldo is one of the best of all time so it does look like a slight on him to say he shouldn’t be winning 5 of the last 10 awards but ultimately that’s a fact.

    Its becoming easier to just hand it to one of them alternatively each year to avoid media backlash. Personally would have given it to Messi over Ronaldo but thats maybe just me.

    Mbappe should have won it for what he done last season imo. He blew the chanpions league apart (ok only managed the semis but thats massive) also blew an over spending oil arseholes out the water and won the league against all odds.

    Ofcourse ronaldo sells though. So he'd win it.

    Ronaldo has played in 1st team for 16 seasons and Messi for 14 seasons.

    Ronaldo - 606 / 16 = average of 37.875 goals a season
    Messi - 559 / 14 = average of 39.928 goals a season

    If that average is kept up and Messi plays the same amount of seasons as Ronaldo then Messi will overtake Ronaldos goal tally.

    I can see Ronaldo playing on well into his late 30s. He has also adapted his game to become more of a centre forward. I think he will outscore Messi but only because he will play more games. I'm with the IRA on this one, i hope Messi steals the show at the next World cup.

    The rest of that Ronaldo interview is even more embarrassing.

    He was saying that it was difficult for him when Messi won four Ballon d'Ors but with help from close friends and family he was able to win a few of his own.

    So * obsessed with individual awards.
