Can smell it half way across the shopping centre.

Some of their stuff is nice but the combined scents wafting out the shop give me the boak.

    Or pronounce it “defi-net-ly”

Seems to be a west coast thing.

Hmm, she's the girlfriend of a guy I play football with. Don't want to seem like a creep and get knocked out as well :giggle1:

When I was getting my pizza there was this really drunk guy doing his best to * me off, at first I was just ignoring him but he kept trying to talk to me and started to get a bit too close to me at times and considering I had to wait almost 20 minutes to get the pizza it almost drove me insane by the end. This was at 8pm too, who gets that drunk at 8??? He had no real clue were he was, couldn't remember what he ordered or if he had money to pay for what he eventually got. He then tried to get me to halfs on a pizza with him and then asked if he could have half of mine while proceeded to try and grab the box off of me. I've been in some right states at times but * me being sober and experiencing this relatively early for a Saturday night just makes me sick of the drinking culture in this country. How's this behaviour deemed acceptable or even worse normal?

It's not normal tbh and the drinking culture here is horrendous.

I’ve totally lost my love for playing football in the last year and a bit and it’s depressing.

Tbh mate I’ve kinda seen that from the things you’ve been gettin up to.

I fell out of love with it for a while in my early 20s and regretted it later in life. I know you play to a decent standard so have a think about things and don’t be too hasty.

For me, it used to always hit me in January when the minnows are getting their big games in the FA and Scottish Cup and you think, “that coulda been me”. Don’t jack it in mate, is all I’m saying.

Know the feeling. Was all I knew as a kid and then kind of grew up and completely fell out of love with playing it.

Keep at it, you’ll get to a point you physically start to deteriorate and you can’t keep up with the young uns and you’ll wish you did.

That’s where I’m at just now, my mates bring their kids now and they’re all little whippets with unlimited energy!

I won’t be quitting, I did quit once and it lasted about three weeks and I ended up going back as I was cracking up without playing. However I’m leaving the club I’ve been with the last two and a half seasons and dropping down a few leagues to play a bit more locally and just try and get some enjoyment out of it again.

Two seasons ago I was player of the year and banging in goals from midfield for my current club and was really hoping to kick on, manager left and a new one came in that just didn’t rate me as a central midfielder so when I did play I always felt it was either our of position or as a last resort for the manager in midfield, which was * for confidence.

New manager came in this season again and while it hasn’t been quite as bad, I lost my place in the team after having been flying in pre season, because I started a new job and missed quite a few training sessions. In and out since then and playing out of position again so I’ve just had enough. Been really, really frustrating.

Played a cup game today against one of the best * teams in the country and one I played for as a schoolboy and I woke up not even arsed about playing, whereas 2/3 seasons ago I would have spent the entire week thinking about the game and what I would need to do to play well.

Think I just need a new team/challenge to get motivated again tbh, I’ve spent a year and a half at a club now without enjoying it and that’s too long.

You also need to not put too much pressure on yourself. It's not your full time job so your enjoyment of it is the most important thing.
