5 weeks today since I broke my rib(s) playing 5s, still in a lot of pain but probably stupidly agreed to go a run with my mate tonight as I'm paranoid about how far my fitness will have dropped off when I go back to football.

Ran just over 6 mile and didn't die earlier, so that's nice.

Back to the gym later today after two weeks of doing almost nothing, bar some light weights. My legs feel like * so I'll need a thorough warm up before I do any proper cardio.

Has anyone ever had trouble eating/gaining weight in general? Usually it's always the other way around but personally for me, the better part of my life has been a struggle in terms of getting down full meals and eating consistently.

Today I have eaten 1 cookie over the course of 2-3 hours, and honestly have no appetite to eat anything else. My bodies been this way for so long I think I've trained it to live off of 1500 calories (maybe) a day. My friends can pack down food like its nothing and I struggle to eat a full plate without slowing down and getting stuffed, barely eating 1 square meal a day.

It was getting better around September when I was going to the gym 4-5 days a week where I needed to eat more, but since then school's been busy as * and I've only managed to hit the gym a handful of times since. Has anyone ever had this problem? Was it something you just get by and eventually move out of or is this on ongoing thing.

I used to be a bit like this when I was maybe 21/22(just turned 26) I've been going to the gym for almost 4 years so putting in the work there made me hungry a lot and I'm now in a routine of having 5/6 meals a day

I’m tempted to dress up as Marty (yes, I have an outfit) for the Dundee game on Boxing Day.

But remembered how people who do this look like complete * so I won’t bother :56:

For anyone who lift weights: when doing shoulders, do seated side raises followed by front raises - 60 second rest. Stole it from a Kai Greene Vid on YouTube, you'll see a difference on your shoulder muscles :84:

Attempting a risky game of 5s with these ribs tonight.Should be just about healed by now apparently but still in a bit of pain, stepped in at last minute to help with numbers, hopefully don't regret it!

Ran 4 days in a row, just decided to get back into it on Monday morning.

Distances weren't massive but I'd rather of done it 4 times in a row finishing every one without stopping.

Genuinely the best thing to do is just do it without thinking, soon as you get in from work throw on the running gear and go out.

I used to put so much superstition to running like have to eat this x amount of hours before, must drink this 45 mins before, if you think too much about it you'll end up not going.

Survived 5s tonight but dunno how I would handle anyone smashing me or getting hit with the ball.
Anyway, still been making sure I do something with light weights or body weight exercises, rib pain permitting and I've managed to get myself down to 67.1 kg (had been about 75/76 in the last year or two before deciding to do something about it) and 15.5 percent body fat, was trying to get it down into the 15s from 17/18 by xmas so pleased with that.
Actually find myself in better shape from doing little or no cardio and more resistance stuff rather than the obsessive cardio I was doing before holiday or playing football about 6 times a week. End up your body is in bits and you're too * to do anything else and don't have the time either, plus it costs a fortune. Just need to get fully healed and fine tune my regime properly and should be jamming!

The band pull aparts is great advice.

I do this and also stretch my chest and shoulders a fair bit these days. Noticed a change in my posture, albeit a small one, but every little helps.

Had a look, Yep De francos right enough, know the name because Triple HHH uses his gym. He advises side raises, front raises and a dumbbell seated clean & *. the reason he uses clean n * as an alternative as it helped Triple HHH avoid getting shoulder surgery. Clean & * risks injuring your shoulders less. I'll give it a try
