If ever there was a person made to be Celtic manager, it was Brendan Rodgers.

Epitomizes what it means to be Celtic.

B Rodgers on being first manger since Jock Stein to win 4 consecutive trophies: “I didn’t know that up until yesterday...it’s a very special thing to have happened”

BR: It was a brilliant victory for us. We had to tick a few character boxes after midweek & yet again the players produced. It’s our fourth trophy in 12 months and it’s a phenomenal achievement. It’s a huge credit to the players because of their hunger and desire.

BR: It was always going to be difficult for us, with how Motherwell have started the season and the confidence they have in terms of how they play. We had to be patient and wait for our moments, and once we got the first goal we settled into our rhythm.

BR: James Forrest’s goal was a wonderful piece of skill. It was difficult for the defender because he thought that James was maybe going to go on the outside, but he's got that ability to come in on his left side & play it with the outside of his foot or bend it in like he did.

BR: Craig Gordon didn’t have a lot to do today but that save from Louis Moult was brilliant. It was a great reaction from Craig and those are saves which are important for you.

BR: I look at it and I think it’s a penalty. It was a great ball from Moussa and Scotty made the run and was getting there. The defender, obviously, can’t get there, so he impedes him and he pulls him, so I think it’s a penalty.

BR: I don’t know whether it’s a sending-off or not, so Stephen Robinson will feel a bit harsh with it being a sending-off, but I thought it was a penalty.

BR: When we got the goal, Motherwell had to come out so the game was opening up for us a little bit more, but we managed the 11 v 10 very well. Our positioning in the pitch was very good, and we should have made the game a lot more comfortable with the chances we had.

BR: The players deserve a huge amount of credit. We came back after midweek and that was a sore one to take, but the culture we’ve created and the process of which we then review that allows us to come into the game with a positive attitude to work well.

Today’s a trophy for everyone at the club. You saw the support today. It was amazing - three-quarters of the stadium really helping the team. It’s a great win for the club.

Four trophies in a row. Can't even think of a time since O'Neill when that was ever possible.
