    I am not a devout catholic. I was born a catholic but I havent attended a mass in ten years.

    If you think its about religion your gravely mistaken. Its about Boruc's right to express himself and his opinion of religion. If bigoted huns get offended by it then its not his problem.

    Exactly and you'll back me up when I say that here in the North you can find yourself in a world of * if you tell someone what your name is. Never mind wearing Pope t-shirts. If Artur didn't wear that shirt I'm sure they'd find something else to whinge about. Some Hun * in the Daily Ranger phone-in gave out about a girl at the away Porto game in the CL a few years back. The camera was on her and she blessed herself, a perfectly natural reaction (we were getting ran ragged that night) for a Catholic. This Orange * said it was 'highly offensive'. The ridiculousness of that rant speaks for itself, and only serves to betray the mindset of some of these sickos.

    But what is the common sense Mike ? Is it common sense to back down to prejudice ? Because that is what you are doing if you refrain from doing what is your right so as to not annoy bigots. The bigots are the problem, not Artur.

    I agree he cant and shouldnt be punished for incitement unless bad intent is proven but that is nearly impossible unless he has been filmed going 'im going to wind up those OBs'. What is a WUM?

    i agree, we shouldn't back down purely because of them, i just don't think it was smart or nessesery esp coming from a WUM (cheers martin, i now know what a wum is) Marvin andrews t-shirt "anything is possiable with *" or something, thats fine, but we all kow marv's not a WUM. boruc is though and THAT's what will get him in trouble imo. if magic was still here and he done it i don't think they would have a case, but boruc loves the attention, he loves winding people up. in other words... he is a WUM:icon_mrgreen:

    I disagree with those who say it isn't about religion. I strongly believe it is about religion. Boruc is a devout Catholic, and has never hidden from the fact, it is public knowledge.

    Why then do people have this feeling of "he's at the wind up"?

    I could see the point in maybe, Neil Lennon coming out wearing the top, then you'd have a point, but Boruc is known for his staunch religious beliefs and has done nothing to abuse those beliefs here.

    The only people taking offence to this are the very one's who pour out their hatred towards Boruc for those beliefs.

    Who is wrong?

    Scenario: A very attractive woman should not dress sexy because that would increase the chance of getting raped? that would make rapists even hornier.

    I always thought we were (well at least I am) living in a free world.. where sexy women are allowed to dress sexy, where footballers are allowed to wear religious clothes.

    some people will always find something to moan about! they are basically looking for these thing.
