I phone up Martin O'Neill or straks and say " I'm doing a helluva lot right at the moment lads but one of my only failings s my tactics against the top dogs in Europe seem to be poor as I'm losing 7-0 and 7-1 going on 10, yous guys seemed to get results against these teams so what am I doing wrong ".

BR on injuries: "Mikael and Nir have slight knocks so we’ll assess them over the next 48 hours."

BR on @PSG_inside: "It was a disappointing result for us but our feeling is we gave everything in the game."

BR: "The players had a day to recover yesterday and they are refreshed and really focused for the weekend. I have no complaints and we’ll look to be better and that’s something we always look to do."

BR on #BetfredCup: "We’re looking to win the competition. It was our first trophy last year and that was our second target of the season after qualifying for the

BR: "It’ll be a tough game for us but we look to bring our experience, bring our quality and our level of game that we’ve played at Hampden."

BR: "Stephen will have his team well organised and they’ve had a full week to prepare for it so they’ll be ready and looking forward to it."

BR on @MotherwellFC: "They deserve to be in the final. They have the results to demonstrate that and I’ve been very impressed with how Steve Robinson has started."

BR: "Our memories of Hampden last season and this season are very good. We’ve played a high level game when we’ve been there."

BR: "The players have coped very well with it but whenever you go into any final you have to be prepared mentally for whatever the opponents throw at you and that’s something we’ll be prepared for."

Well, here it is. I agree with you. Perhaps the sole difference between the victory against Barça and these drubbings were having a goalkeeper that could actually make saves. And we have Van Dijk and Wanyama. And Lennon had a gameplan more compatible with this sort of game.

What does that mean? That there is something who can be done. Rather than just sitting down and saying that we are too poor wee and stupid and we have to settle for beating SPL dross.

Replace Gordon and sort out the defence. We dont need 200 million for that.

TBF there is a few * in here that seem pretty poor, wee and stupid but I don't think anyone has come close to accusing Celtic of been that except you.

Read the hotline in the record today. Think some of the callers were a bit harsh. BR has done a great job. He'll never have us a European force to be reckoned with buts that's down to money not his ability.

Bottom line, he's a good coach, good awareness and brings the best out in players but undeniable that there is a glaring tactical naivety in games against clubs at this level (John Kennedy are you still our defense coach?). Yes we weren't going to win but surely shipping 5 at parkhead should of been enough for them to know they couldn't repeat that humiliation (players to blame more so than coach) whatever way you look at it and no matter who you are playing shipping 12 goals in two matches is not acceptable. I will give him the benefit of the doubt and I hope he buys those players for key positions at the back that he likes and then I will judge again should we face top class opposition. We are sorely lacking robust quality at the back (Gordon (all round play) and Lustig (glass ankles)).
We don't have the players (especially the back to midfield) to play the cute passes around without losing the ball.
Hopefully the January window will be the shakeup the team needs as I honestly think some players are hiding behind this invincibles tag and need a serious kick up the *.

There's is no shame in losing to the the likes of PSG,Bayern ,Barcelona our groups have been extremely tough the past two years there ain't many teams who would have done any better had they found themselves in our position .anyone trying to use that defeat to PSG to criticise rodgers has lost the plot especially since he's just smashed a 100 year old domestic record ,personally I think he put out the right team in the right shape there's only so much he can do and if the players ain't bang at it a heavy loss is always a possibility

Aye I agree to an extent mate, that's the team I wanted to start too.. but see with hindsight I wouldn't start both Rogic and McGregor away against high calibre opposition.. it's one or the other, depending on form and an extra CM/DM to protect..Eboue maybe or even Bitton.. or possibly a new signing which is mad really with the amount of midfielders in our squad.. but we don't really have a REAL DM..

You need a serious kick up the *..

The players have earned all the plaudits and the improvement BR has made to the squad and the club in general has been nothing short of remarkable..

We are on the cusp of making history again with back to back trebles and the man hasn't lost a domestic match since he arrived..

But aye you give him the benefit of the doubt! Fuckstick...:57:

McGregor and rogic are both good at holding onto the ball maybe the idea was for them to get us up the pitch and take the pressure of the defence and they did do that to a degree i think you are right eboue might have been a better option

What the * are you farting on about??

We have ZERO competition in our league... even if we had a stronger challenge from the other side of the city, most of europe would still consider an unbeaten record in our pish-poor excuse for a league, to be a fairly underwhelming achievement! (sorry to be so blunt, but that's the reality)

The real test of whether Rodgers is doing a good job, is if we can get some results in europe! (and avoid being humiliated)

Apart from his disappointing performances in europe, his player recruitment has not been terribly impressive either. In fact, I would say Lenny has him beat on both those fronts at this moment in time!

The man still has plenty to prove as a manager, regardless of whether some of our fans choose to kiss his a$$!!

So he’s signed, Dembele, Ntcham, Roberts, Sinclair to name a few and you haven’t been impressed ? Let’s not forget it’s not as easy as saying I want that player, our board really has the final say. Lenny was here a lot longer than Brendan, hard to compare the two given their time spent at the club

Disappointing results in Europe? First manger to get us into champions league at first attempt , recorded our first away win in champions league, let’s not forget our disappointing results have came against Bayern Munich, PSG, Barca . All the rest we either won drew or came close. We have improved substantially since Brendan’s been in charge and still unbeaten domestically. Aye he’s * sure. Cheer up it’s Friday
