Been to the football and a bit mashed but got a town role. Interesting one.

Will investigate the dodgy discards tomorrow.

 

Start with me if you like.

 

It’s quite hard to go off the discards to be honest, only one mafia role discarded as well so there are going to be a lot of mixed roles.

No major roles discarded, jailkeeper and roleblocker are good roles if used well but they could of easily been offered a better role from that list.

 

The two Town power discards are the best we have to go on at the moment. If you take Jailkeeper for example there's really only a couple of roles that benefit the Town more. Maybe Cop or Watcher.. possibly Two-shot Vig, if used properly.

So imo, to discard Town Jailkeeper or Roleblocker for that matter, Bhoyo or V must have had to have been provided two roles that were as least as good or better than their discards. Which seems unlikely..

For instance say you had Town Jailkeeper, Mafia Cop and VT for example or any combination.. Jailkeeper or Roleblocker wouldn't be the discard. Don't get me wrong it's only right we take inexperience into account as the lynching of Business Hawk proved.

But for me it's between V and Bhoyo at the mo purely on the discards.

Day 1 in these games is always based around discards and the pro town ones are sticking out a lot.

Can anyone mind if the last game with discards proved whether going for town discards was good or bad idea ?

 

Obviously Business Hawk discarded Cop for a VT in the last game run by Keano, but to be honest there were so many powerful roles in that game the discards don't tell us much..

Would be better to look at Mintys last game that's the only time we've played the Greatest format on here.

3 of the 4 people to discard Town roles in Minty game chose scum roles.

Those discards included vanilla town roles though so whilst it's something to keep in mind they aren't exactly similar situations.

I'd like to hear from the new guy and V

 

That's interesting mate..

Like I say with both those discards, you would need two pretty strong Town role options, to take forward a Town role..

It's likely one or both have Scum or Lone roles..

The dilemma is we encourage new blood but they get punished severely if they * up..

Ah well it's a harsh game..

Iv said why i turned it down @Our Eddie, its a very powerful role, but the one iv taken is as beneficial for town if used properly and far more fun being honest. I wasnt particually great as roleblocker so thought * it ill take another

 

Not a lot to go on but we obviously need Bhoyo to explain himself, not entirely convinced about Vendettas explanation.

I played terribly as the cop like 3 games ago, and wasn't brill with Role blocker before that, so basically yeah, in * as town haha l. Saying that I outed a couple of mafia not so long ago when idioteque was mafia, thinking about it I'm probably amazing

 

I am town. Nothing is majorly sticking out to me on the discards other than possibly Bhoyo’s, but I’m not gonna jump down his throat on it as that’s what happened to Business Hawk a few games ago and that turned out badly.

Need @Bhoyo to say a Bit more really. I’ve a few others in mind who seem a bit suspect but need to observe a bit more before pushing them on that

 

I'm Townie this time thankfully. Not had a proper read on the discards/thread will do that later when I have some more time.

As for my own discard that didn't take any thought at all.
