At the game! Big guy from London had a season ticket next to me and only came to handful of games, Big Murray he was called size of a * house! Anyway he lost the old style season book on the way to the game and my uncle had to go to the stewards (as he was running the supporters club at the time) and got him in, as he was walking in I missed the larsson goal but he flung me about 10 ft in the air. Funny thing for me that day is I was walking with Chic Charnleys brother and we bumped into Chic and I remember he said if that pass larsson gave to me and I scored from Costs us the league I will never be able to walk as a free man in Glasgow again!!!

For me this was the moment we won the league, when that ball hit the back of the net I just thought.."this is our year, finally".

Luckily enough I wangled a ticket for the match . I've never experienced such a nervous Celtic Park , for obvious reasons . Here are a few personal memories of the day/aftermath ; Seeing folk with hi-viz gear and hard hats sitting in the partly built Jock Stein stand . The sheer euphoria that met the final whistle , and the pitch invasion being so good hearted . Going to a Celtic supporters club in Springburn after the game , and seeing a brilliant photo of Big Jock in the team bath with the European cup ( first and only time I've seen that image from Lisbon ) . Seeing what appeared to be spontaneous street parties , as our bus left Springburn and heading North via the M8 . Spotting flags and banners hanging out windows of hi rise blocks .Drinking far too much when I got to my home town , and singing loudly as I staggered back from the pub in broad daylight . I also remember that in the following week's Scottish cup final , there was a bad bounce of the ball that disadvantaged Rangers ( they were still alive then ) . Hearts won the cup , and my late Mum delighted in saying that it was the previous weeks on pitch celebrations that had caused the " bad bounce " . Happy memories !

In my town house just outside Jo'burg listening to BBC Scotland on MW 810

Had to have my stereo slanted with ma hawn at the back of it ,to up the signal lol

When that final whistle blew ,pandemonium it was ,then a few calls to Glasgow.

Some feeling winning that title after 9 long years

managed to get a ticket for the game.
Was in the restricted view section at the main stand, next to the under construction Jock Stein.
There wasn’t a base to the seat either when I got there, kind of helped for trying to watch the game.
Still got my celtic top I wore that day tucked away.

In the hoose listening to it on the wireless.

Left about 15 mins to go, ran up to Celtic Park and ran in through the side horse door beside the main entrance just in time for the pitch invasion.

Got the camera spools from the side of the park and filled them full of grass :56:

Older brother was at the game - he lifted one of the penalty spots :57:

Was 8 at the time, so my memories are vague. I actually remember Lambert's derby goal far more clearly. Anyway, all I can remember is watching it on the telly and then phoning my Rangers supporting uncle after the game, continually singing 'Championees' on his answering machine because he was at work.

I was working at the airport at the time and got up in the afternoon before having to start my 12 hour shift at 6pm and put the radio on. I remember at around 4:45 that afternoon the scenes from Celtic Park were being shown on the football news. I remember phoning my mate at around 5 to 5 and told him to put his telly on BBC1 immediately. The drive into work was wonderful, celebrating Tims all over Paisley town centre. A day I'll never forget. I think that was our JFK moment.

Edit: I still have the VHS tape from that night because I had asked my dad to tape the highlights that evening from Sport Scene. We stopped the 10 and our first league victory in 10 years and I'm sure the highlights and trophy presentation only lasted about 25 minutes. IIRC Harold scored the first and Henrik secured it. I was * it up until the second goal. I think we blew it a week earlier at Dunfermline.

9 years old and at the game. Didn't fully understand the magnitude of it at the time as it was only my 2nd season with a season ticket.

I remember coming back from the game with the scarves and flags hanging out the car. Then when we got home my Granda blasting the Irish tunes as load as the Hi-Fi would go as he lived in a semi-detached and in the connected house was the most horrible, orange family you could come across.

I went out in the street and pretended I was larsson bending the ball into the goal then jumped with my back to their window, pointing at the 'Larsson 7' on my back geein it big licks :101:

I was at home listening on radio, but the stand out memory was going to the 6pm vigil mass, and the atmosphere in the church was absolutely bouncing.

Only mass I've ever enjoyed in my life.

Really didn’t become much of a Celtic fan till around 2010 but it’s nice to hear how amazing some moments were back in the day. Really makes you apreciate where we are now as a club
