Aye but even at the time, he went from looking like he was fitter than ever at the start of the season, was out injured for 3 month or whatever and then came back playing like a pensioner, he couldn't even run. People at the time I remember were saying he was finished rather than it obviously just being still injured.

Watching his interview on SPFL matters and him saying he understood the criticism was sad to see as I don't believe he took it like that deep down..

It must've got to him as it was real bad..

That semi final watching Holt and Halliday ripping the * out of him and doing a proper roughing up number on him should've been the point any doubt it was anything other than injury was confirmed..

Ye thats true it was a bit harsh considering he wasn,t fully fit.
All i was trying to point out (and i wasn,t just talking about brown myself)was i think fans are entitled to speak up if they feel players are not playing to the required standard.

Ye some fans go over the top and talk * but in general when fans are not happy with players/the team i think the players need to know.

Naturally we are all entitled to the ocassional moan and believe me I am partial to one (although haven't had much to moan about the last two seasons) but it's the managers job to let players know they need to play better, not ours.

SCOTT Brown saluted the Celtic fans, along with his manager and team-mates, after the Hoops broke the club’s own British domestic unbeaten record in Saturday’s resounding success away to St Johnstone.

The Scottish treble-winners’ tremendous triumph in Perth made it 63 games without defeat, eclipsing the 100-year-old milestone of Willie Maley’s great Celtic team.

And, despite the match coming just four days after their UEFA Champions League thriller against Bayern Munich, it never it looked in any doubt that the Bhoys would create history at McDiarmid Park as they dominated the contest from start to finish.

Speaking after the game, the skipper said: “It’s a great honour to captain this side and to come into training very day and play in front of our fans, who have been phenomenal from the first game all the way to the 63rd It showed in the atmosphere on Saturday and it was our fans who created it for 90 minutes.

“The lads in the squad have been fantastic. We have played some great games and some not so great, but it’s the ones you don’t play well, such as going away to Motherwell, when you are struggling are 2-0 down at half-time and digging out a result from that shows the lads’ fight and willingness to win.”

And the 32-year-old also highlighted the squad’s fitness levels as they rose to the challenge once again on the back of their European exertions.

“That’s why we have a great squad,” he said. “The gaffer chops and changes it but on Saturday it was the same team from Bayern Munich, which has not happened a lot since the gaffer has been in charge as he usually makes one or two changes and makes a change of formation.

“People may have thought we would have been tired but it was the complete opposite – we were looking forward to this game.

“It shows you our level of fitness in the last 10 or 15 minutes there,” continued Brown. “We played a great opponent during the week and we pushed ourselves all the way and we can come and do it in an early kick-off again on Saturday. It’s about determination, top-quality management and the players being willing to learn as well.”

Not me.......I said from the start he had the potential to be a legendary player :84: he has always been my hero even when I was peed off with him for getting red carded before rangers games :56:I even suggested once that he might be doing it deliberately :97: Oh how little I knew then :52:

Never a Celtic manager in a million years for me. As I’ve said before.

Potentially a fantastic coach right enough.

Don't think after 4 good years of Lenny as
Manager anyone could dismiss Brown as a potential manager in the future

What makes you think he wouldn’t make a good Celtic manager, out of interest?
