becoming one of my all time favourites. for such a young man, he's seemingly got the lot. Still a bit of growing up to do as well

There's something about Tierney, I think if you took a picture of every team every season since 1888 he would look a natural part of it.
The number 63 is quite visionary too

Gareth Bale was a left back up until he was 21/22.

    Just throwing it out there...

I have to agree, I think he's a better forward than defender though I think he's quick enough to be near the level of Alves given time and coaching. Some may say it's hyperbole to place him in such ranks but it's his mentality and how he came through the ranks when he was never mentioned in the same breath as Nesbitt and Donnelly etc. That shows a humble personality who is never above himself but an inner belief and faith in the club dedication and discipline might give him that precious chance few players get to prove themselves. As soon as we seen him I think we all clicked, this guy has something.
Back on topic, like Bale he's started at the back then I thought we could play 3 5 2 with him defensive midfielder but his ability to read the forward game with the vision and ability to cross a ball is a strikers dream.
I've also noticed every player who is placed on the wing loves interacting with him because their imagination comes to fruition when he reads the game like them, fast and furious and every tackle is for every fan in the park because he instinctively is a fan at heart and he commits like he wants when he's in the stands with his season ticket.

I'd rather he stayed where he is, tbh.

As incredible as he is would have to improve quite a bit technically still in regards to his dribbling etc if he was to make the move to being a top LW.

His defensive attributes are excellent as well and as it stands we get more than enough out of him bombing forward, he pretty much plays as one just now.

I completely agree. Keep him where he is, at least for now.

Gareth Bale was a cracking left back before his move to Spurs.

If you get more out of him further up the field it’s, literally, a no brainer. When Sinclair hasn’t played this season it’s no coincidence that KT has looked frightening going forward with a greater licence from middle to front.

For me KTs at his best in a 3-4-3 or 3-5-2, when he has the freedom to get forward and the energy to come back and defend. Sinclair can easily play inside or have a free role which worked well yesterday, Sinclair was popping up everywhere. Armstrong was also making runs into the space that Sinclair & KT were creating..

No team domestically can cope with those three attacking in the left channels of the pitch. With Forrest providing out and out width from the right, McGregor tucking in and supporting him and Dembele as the focal point for everything.. the 3-4-2-1 formation has given opposition managers a nightmare with no idea how to cope with our movement..

    Gordon
    Lustig Bitton Boyata
    Forrest Brown Armstrong KT
    McGregor Sinclair
    Dembele

    Or

    Gordon
    Lustig Simunovic Boyata
    Forrest Brown Ntcham KT
    Roberts Rogic
    Griffiths

Great options and love that formation.. and it suits KT down to the ground..

Not denying that at all but I just like him as he is, think we get the best of both world's and Rodgers' style suits him down to the ground. He can still bomb forward but we also still have that defensive side of him.

I can see the comparisons with Bale but they aren't similar in many ways. Bale was banging in Free kicks etc as a left back and always seemed as though he was a winger out of position, with Tierney its different, we all know his defensive qualities. I still feel we get just as much out of him at the back, his shackling of one of the greatest wingers of the 21st century proved that.

Agree with you plus bale is one of the fastest players in the world so it was a bit of a no brainer to push him forward

Bit of a myth that Bale was banging in free kicks as a left back. Until he was moved further forward for Spurs he’d scored a similar amount of goals for them than KT has for Celtic to this point.

It might never happen but I can see him developing in an attacking sense just now at a rate of knots and Rodgers is encouraging it.

The line between left full back/wing back/winger is blurred more than it was 10 years ago. It might end up being his best position is the one Thompson played for us under O’Neill. Left in a 352.

Callum speaking about KT in an interview with the BBC

'I keep saying to KT, 'You're a freak!''
He scored four times in his first seven games and he learned some valuable lessons. "You realise that you can't have one good game at Celtic and then be quiet for two or three, then score again and everything is forgotten about. You have to be on it every single game. I was flying, then I dropped out of the team, through tiredness and things like that. That's when you understand that, yeah, you've played 25 or 26 games but you could be away (on loan) again.

"That's what's incredible about KT (Kieran Tierney). I remember him coming through. I still sit up the back of the bus with him. I'd been through that 25-game dip and you have to build yourself back up again. I was saying to him, 'You'll start, you'll be on fire, everybody will love you, then you might hit that 25-30 game mark and you might take a dip. You'll need confidence to come back'.

"I think he's played about 97 games and he's not had a bad game yet. It's unbelievable. I keep saying, 'You're a freak!' He just seems to be defying all the odds every single week. I don't think we've seen a player like that for many, many years. We've had some great left-backs at Celtic but KT seems to be blowing everybody out of the water every time he's putting on that jersey.

I actually said to my mate the other day that I'd like to see him playing on the wing more often

One game I think he should be moved to CB, the next I want him moved up to left wing. As if he wasn’t good enough, he’s so versatile.
