To think a few seasons ago I absolutely slated Brown. Said he was never a Celtic captain, we were better without him, he couldn't pass the ball 5 yards, blah blah blah.

Today, there is nobody I would replace him with.

He's took my advice and buckled down and learned how to pass a ball. :84:

ARTHUR NUMAN reckons Holland would benefit from having Scott Brown in their side.

The former Rangers defender has been impressed with the Celtic midfielder’s contribution for club and country this season.

And he believes the Scot possesses what the Dutch have been missing for the past four years.

Numan said: “You need those kind of players in your team.

“Brown is a leader and someone who will simply not accept defeat.

“Most times he can be a real pain in the a*** for opponents.

“But, every successful team needs someone like that.

“He has a winning mentality and is not afraid to tell other players to do their jobs.

“That is something that has been missing from the Holland squad.

“Arjen Robben leads by example but he is getting older now. Wesley Sneijder was the same but he does not play very often now.

“Holland are looking for a new generation of players and a two or three leaders. They need someone like Scott Brown.”

You said the same to Brendan when you interviewed him, lose a game and you're getting buckled down

Aye, I said he was a waste of a jersey at one point. Couldn't stand him during Mowbray's season as I thought he just seemed to run around like a headless chicken. But I think he was playing through a long standing ankle injury.

He looked done under Deila, people weren't made aware why until the end of that season. The last 18 months he's been as good as he's ever been. Legend :50:

    Hope not.

We won't be able to find a more suitable manager than Brendan but I'd like to think when the time comes we'd continue to be ambitious and go for someone of the same calibre.

Assuming Lennon would still be at Hibs, it would be a step backwards, despite his success here.

It's all foresight so who knows, would be good to have those guys at the club though imo.

Of course if a manager's available of the calibre of Rodgers then I'd bite your hand off for them. Lenny is a winner and loves the club though, I couldn't be upset if he did well with hibs and came back to Celtic.

Not everybody, some of us thought that maybe, just maybe, playing him with tendonitis in both hamstrings may have been impacting his performances.

There was a period of time if you had said he’d be posting the sort of stats he is at the highest level of football possible you’d have been sectioned.

It’s a testament to his work ethic that his weakness when he first joined Celtic is now actually one of his best attributes - possession based football.

Rodgers has said it best, above the fact he has athletic capabilities and leadership qualities he is a ‘proper footballer’.
