    Most European appearances for the club also 86, 17 more than the next person. Also if he plays in our last two Group games this season he will overtake Kenny Dalglish as the Scottish player with the most appearances in the European Cup/Champions League, Dalglish is on 68, Brown is on 67, Darren Fletcher is 3rd on 66. His 91 European appearances is the most by a Scottish player as well.

    Of course he is.

    Obviously not the best footballer to have ever but has rare quality’s that can’t be “trained”

    Take him out the team then I doubt we would be anywhere near the milestones/records we have achieved recently.

    When he came to Celtic I doubt anyone thought he would be here so long and have as much success. Had a few seasons when he struggled but last season and so far this season he has been inspirational to those around him .

    I do think Brooneys qualities are severely underrated at times.

    People are quick to highlight his supposed technical deficiencies, but football demands so many other qualities. If you consider leadership, communication, application, fitness, and strength (physical and mental) here SB excels

    Add in his longevity, loyalty and honours won and unquestionably he is a legend.

    The opposing supporters outrage at him going about his job, demonstrate just how vital he is.

    Before Rodgers came in I thought he was finished. Looks a completely new refreshed player under Rodgers now. What a servant he’s been!
