for SPL he would be great.

We want a left back to provide support for the wingers as well as do a job defensively and Barry Robson can do this well IMO. It's too early to judge though

Watched the game on Channel67 and Jim Craing mentioned that Robson had looked ok against Hamilton, but would get "skinned by a team with real wingers".

Still think Darren O'Dea could be given a run at LB, anything would be better than Naylor.

I'd play him there against United before Naylor. All Naylor will do is give away possession and bring more pressure on us.

Only thing that worries me is his pace, same reason I don't like him playing on the wing.

Still need a real Left back though.

OD has a good touch and stikes the ball well and if he could only develop some pace I am sure he would be considered for LB. Right now he is just too slow. Its pretty rare to find pace (seems to be mainly natural) but Aidan somehow did it last season and there was some talk of some special coaching he got.

No, he's better as a midfielder.

So you'd rather have Naylor left back?

Robson's a * lion, you could put the man anywhere on the pitch and he'd put in a good shift! :notworthy

No, I'd rather play myself at left back than Naylor but failing that I want us to sign someone in the January transfer window.
I just think we wouldn't get the best out of Barry at LB and you would see why left back is not his first position if he was played there week in week out.

No. Left back is a problem I feel the solution is Lewis Stevenson at Hibs, He put some great crosses in yesterday.

Yep would be better at left back.

We need more quality in the middle

If Robson played LB that would free up a space for Hartley/Crosas/Brown/Naka etc, we've plenty of quality in midfield.
