Didn't see any highlights of the game whatsoever so it's going to be interesting to read exactly what people who were at the game thought of him in the LB position. Don't think anyone could question his motivation, but is he quick enough for a LB and could he run that line for a full 90 or was he given a comparatively easy time of it today?

Incidentally, how was his tackling today?

    'badassedness' love it :icon_mrgreen:

That's what i like about him McNaka, he sets a tempo for his team mates to follow (allbeit sometimes overly aggressive) but you know you won't go down with a whimper if he's in your side!

Well thats just one of my many custom words.

And setting the tempo is one thing which works for our team, suppose we need an influential man beside mcmanus as well, plus it makes a possible all scottish back four which is a pretty good thing in my eyes :icon_mrgreen:

Good points. I wonder if WGS will play him there more often. How effective would he be at LB against the Huns.....:50:

I think we've missed that kind of influence since Lenny left. No matter how good or bad McManus is playing, he's just not the right kind of personality for me to be a true captain.

The problem is, if he plays as left back, he will be missed in the middle imo. we have to clone him!

Barry Robson is like a swiss army knife, he just can do everything :50:

He looks the part there and i don't think * have any problems playing there vs SPL teams, but against Manutd he won't be able to get forward as much and he'll need to be close to Ronaldo because he isn't very fast (naylors a bit faster), but he can tackle and keeps right in on players and doesn't give them time and he can deliver one * of a cross and i love his badassedness!

That's what I thought the first time this was brought up too. But I think with Crosas looking better and better every day, and Brown starting to make me a believer, plus Hartley... this is a great option to get him a steady amount of games if he can do a job there.

Yeh I thought he did great today at LB, got in a lot of crosses, tackled, good first touch but I still think he should be bossing the middle of the park, if only there were two.

It was only Hamilton but i thought Robson looked comfortable at LB and i thought he brought a calmness to the defence. Dont know how he would feel being a left back for the rest of his days though!

I like Robson at LB for games which we'll dominate but if we have him there marking Ronaldo or Rooney he'll get skinned for pace. Naylor would also be out his depth in that company though so I'd play him.

Yup, i'd have him in the middle every time as well where he's more of an influence.

Problem is Strachan see's Brown as a shoe in for every game by the looks of things and i don't think he likes those 2 together!

Seemed comfortable at LB today even though it was only hamilton but aye i think we should keep him at LB a few games see how it goes.

Too early for me to form an opinion but he played well today, and good on him for having a go.

    Pretty sure he's left footed

I like the thought of an attacking wingback for a change :50:

He is left footed as far as I know, but he can use both, same as Aiden.
