POTY contender so far this season.

 

Don't agree with the POTY comment, he isn't a first pick in either of his favoured positions, when everyone fit..

He had performed very well when called upon tho..

Even called him the "Big guy", thought it was another Doctor Venclos. Gyq Rosetti.

 

Performed better than Simunovic this season imo.

 

Aye he's been an important player this season so far no doubt.. looks much more confident in a back 3 tho..

So maybe so far he is a shout, come end of the season tho, can't see him being up there. Never know tho if we keep playing 3 at the back.

When everyone fit probably doesn't start, but deserves tremendous credit for throwing himself into a new position to play his part.

Hes been quality

 

Another development work in progress.

But last night demonstrated, like others, he is moving in the right direction.
If he continues to progress, there's every chance he could keep this current position until the end of the season whoever is available

 

Fair enough.

If both were fit though you would rather have Jozo playing at centre back though aye ?

 

In a heartbeat.

 

He had a very good game last night, as did the whole team, but he has been very suspect when playing at CB in other games. We don't have much of a choice at the moment and he is doing ok, but still doesn't look comfortable in this position and is not good enough,in a long term basis, to play there regularly. I don't think he has been quality, almost the opposite actually.

He has played there too regularly, imo but because of injuries like I said above we haven't had much choice. The board must then look to strengthen this area in Jan.

When our CBs are fit again, normal service will be resumed and anyone suggesting he may keep his CB berth ahead of a seasoned CB is needing sectioned and the only reason he may get the nod is purely because we have a lack of depth in this area and due to another injury.

I don't think he would have tried that dribble through the box last night had we not been 3 up or playing better opposition. And the fact that his attitude has been impressive, well, I wouldn't expect anything less from any Celtic player asked to play a position they're not as comfortable in.

 

POTY isn't a bad shout if he keeps this up, should get extra credit for constantly having to prove the haters wrong.

Would still rather play ajer in the league when siminovic is injured. The only way he is going to develop.

No way should bitton be playing cb in bigger games where our defence will be tested properly. Let's face it the majority of SPL games i could play cb and just knock the ball about and looked half decent. Against a decent domestic forward line and certainly against a good or top european strike force he would struggle , its not his natural position and no amount of coaching will turn him into a proper quality cb.

That said i think he is a decent player .
