I agree mate. Not really sure what's happened with him, he looked great in pre season.

with our injuries in defence this season it's weird he hasn't been given a chance.

Brendan knows him better than us though, I trust the manager. :50:

It’s what he is, he’ll end up back there in his career, with us or not.

I was worried before the game that he might get bullied but he was excellent

Wasn't up against much but perfect for the job domestically. Very tidy and threaded some balls forward limited defenders like Joso and Boyata simply aren't capable of.

Big guy strolled it, he looks to be getting far more comfortable back there. I’m not saying he is the answer just that he is far more settled in that position.

Boyata I'll give you but big Jozo is a decent passer of the ball imo

See his confidence is back, like on Saturday coming out from the back with it which creates space for others and get a forward pass. He's fine domestically, still want to see Ajer given another chance though.

    Domestically I'm not overly concerned.

He isn't physical enough at times but its a serious bonus to have someone with his calmness on the ball back there.

Classy big player on and off field...scapegoat since Ambrose left. Talent never been in doubt for me, Can fairly pass a ball too.

Terrific last night. His improvements and learning positionally are clear for everyone to see. Having the game played out in front of him definitely suits him. I was worried pre game that he’d be bullied, but he absolutely strolled it.

Such a classy player. There was a moment yesterday where he sidestepped a player in the box and then laid off a perfectly weighted ball for McGregor (I think).

He’s deceptively strong on the ball, too.

Good last night. All credit to him for doing a job for the manager, we need better on there for Europe but he's turning in to a good option at the back domestically. Never under pressure on the ball.

Everyone saying not the option for europe etc but from what inseen against bayern someone who can acrually keep the ball and play a pass is exactly what we need there against them, should erik and jozo both be fit it wont stop bayern playing rings around us realistically and when we eventually do win the ball back at the edge of our own box bitton is definitely the one id like to see coming with it to start an attack

Jozo pretty regularly plays some great forward passes and in general is quite solid on the ball. When he first arrived nae * could control his passes with the speed he was pinging them.

Play him vs Bayern, best on the ball and will keep clm at the back, just have to hope he is solid defensively
