what a player. you run out of superlatives to describe him after a while. will hopefully become one of the all time celtic greats, he's already well on his way. would love it if he stayed here his whole career. or at the very least, have him for 6-7 years then allow him to go try another league out should he fancy it.

I also agree with ILTC in that he has one of the best crosses/passes in the final third that I have witnessed. Anyone got his assists record? I know he had a ridiculous number last season

    * bless Kieran Tierney :shamrock:

I would walk into a house fire wearing a petrol filled suit whilst a swarm of bees sting my eyeballs just for the chance to drink his maws bath water.

Zombies on Sevco Media talking about Spurs signing him for £5million. Aye, try multiplying that by four.

Luke Shaw went to United for £30 million in 2014. The transfer market has went mental since then.

Spurs can start the bidding at £150 million or they can * off.

Then sleeping on it and doubling it the next day because you realised the opening offer was an insult, only for Celtic to laugh at you because he will be worth double that again in a couple of years.

Kieran Tierney is going nowhere. He bleeds green and white. It's not soundbites with him, he really would be amongst the fans if he wasn't playing. He is a modern day McStay or Burns, he loves it here.

BR's must be delighted coming here and having the likes of Kieran in the team. Then you got Team he started with tonight,in a year and a half you only have Dembele starting against your biggest rivals.Does that say more about Deila or just Celtic in general?

Tonight was a prime example of why Tierney should start at Left Back in every game for Scotland !! He offers more than Robertson and is wasted when moved out to Right Back.

KIERAN Tierney said that Celtic’s dominant 3-0 defeat of Aberdeen was the result of hard work and an unwavering determination to win.

Brendan Rodgers’ Hoops team dismantled their closest league rivals with style in a game which asserted their superiority in the Premiership, moving them three points clear at the top of the table and extending the unbeaten run to 61 games.

Despite the dominance over the Dons, Tierney insisted there were no easy games and attributed the comfortable victory to Celtic’s relentless work ethic.

Speaking to the media following the match, Tierney said: “Every game’s hard. There’s no doubt about that. The way we play and the mentality of our players maybe makes it look as if it’s not difficult but there are no easy games at all. We need to go and work hard to get these results.

“We’ve worked well and trained hard since in pre-season and that formation worked well. We adapted to it well, passed the ball well and everyone did their job brilliantly. We pressed the game, too, so it was a great performance from the whole team.

“They created a great atmosphere and Aberdeen don’t make it easy for you at all, but the way we played was great and we deserved the win.”

The young Hoops defender scored early in the first-half, getting on the end of Moussa Dembele’s cross and finishing with a thundering strike to open the scoring for Celtic.

Reflecting on his contribution to the goal tally, Tierney said: “I was playing higher up and you need to get in the box a bit more in those positions. Moussa looked up and saw me at the back post and it was a great ball from him.”

He also praised the contribution of the Celtic substitutes, Leigh Griffiths, Scott Sinclair and Jonny Hayes, who all helped maintain Celtic’s high tempo during the latter stages of the second half.

“The subs who came on were fantastic and are the sign of a great squad," he said. "We have so many great players in every position and it makes everyone want to do better and keep their place. It’s a great problem to have for the manager.

“There’s a lot of talk about these games and if you want to win the league you need to win them, so it was great from us.”

    Liked this one a lot:

"He cruised past Shay Logan like he wasn’t there before producing a magnificent ball to the far post

It is my sincere hope that there are some good defenders out there who will think about signing for Celtic to play with a player like him. I really hope we can find more youngsters with the same attitude, if not ability.

Would like to see him deployed on the left of the front 3 for a few games this season. I really feel the experience and positional understanding would take his game to a new level.

It's often something you see managers doing with attacking wide players i.e turning them into full backs to help bring an attacking threat to their team (Calvin Miller for example). Would like to see Tierney go the other way for the experience and game progression it would give him/us.

Edit: I still see his long term future at left back/centre back mind.

Not as daft as it may sound..

Wouldn't be against it to develop him further in game's like Saturday coming. Would improve many aspects of his game, particularly his short passing under pressure as he wouldn't be able to just punt it up the park..

When Sinclair get's a rest it's a possibility. Definitely want to see him in that wingback role more though..
