    He's brilliant that bit after his second goal where he tried to take on 3 hibs players in search of a hat trick was funny as * then he gets clattered and somehow gets booked.

    ML: "I think we showed the strength we have when James, Tom and Moussa came on and we deserved to win in the end."

    ML: "I didn’t expect to grab 2 goals today. I like to play against Hibs though, I’ve scored a couple against them in the past."

    ML: "I didn’t hit the ball that clean for the first goal, but it was good enough to find the back of the net so I’m satisfied with that."


    ML: "It’s always hard to play in Europe and quickly come back to domestic competition so I think we’ve proven that we’re a good team."

    ML: "Now that we’re in the final, our main goal is more silverware."

    TWO-goal hero MIkael Lustig believes the contribution from Celtic’s substitutes in the 4-2 win over Hibernian in the League Cup semi-final showed both the strength and depth of the Hoops squad.

    Tom Rogic, James Forrest and Moussa Dembele all came on in the second-half of the clash at Hampden and were involved in Celtic’s third and fourth goals, with the Frenchman netting both of them.

    Speaking after the game, Celtic's Swedish internationalist said: “I think we showed strength when James, Tom and Moussa came on and we deserved to win.

    “We came to Hampden to reach a final and we did it. We played quite good football. Obviously they got a penalty they shouldn’t have had and suddenly they got back into the game.

    “It’s always hard to play in Europe and quickly come back to domestic competition. We’ve drawn against St Johnstone and against Hibs, so it’s hard to play away from home in Europe and come back, but I think we’ve proved to everyone that we’re a good team with quality throughout the squad."

    Reflecting on his own contribution in the game, Lustig added: “I didn’t expect to grab two goals. I like to play against Hibs, though, I’ve scored a couple of goals against them in the past and it’s always nice to score.

    “I didn’t hit the ball that clean for the first goal, but it was good enough to find the back of the net so I’m satisfied with that. Now that we’re in the final, our main goal is more silverware.”
