not been to impressed with him at all so far, he has shown some glimpses but for his physique he doesn't impose himself at all and gets the ball taken off him so easily. his passing is so inconsistent and 90% of his shots are woeful. he is still young but I think id rather have kouassi in the team ahead of him in Europe for another holding midfielder in there if we are playing 2 sitting. McGregor would be my choice in most games to partner Brown in the middle with Armstrong and Rogic alternating the 10 role

 

He is a good player but we must remember this is his first champions league campaign. He is looking to me very nervous and almost unsure he belongs at this level. Its not his lack of ability for me its a psychological problem.

 

Started off brilliantly for us. Hearts at home and the Astana games come to mind, and I thought we had a real find.

However, he seems to have seriously struggled in all three CL games so far. Just seems to lose the ball too often for me and isn't tidy enough in possession. I've not seen enough of him to suggest he should be starting games ahead of Callum McGregor.

 

He’s not young..people are talking like he’s 18 or something..he’s not going to get that much better than what he already is..which isn’t amazing

I thought he was * but there is certainly time for improvement.

Yes he has been truly woeful at times but we have all seen what he has and does have great potential.

he is young and inexperienced.

Silly to write him off yet as there has been numerous players for us who have shaky starts and turned out good.

I just don't get what he's supposed to be he's not a ball winner not a goalscorer and not much of a creator never seen the hype. He's had a couple of good games but that's it

He’s now reverted back to a ‘player’ for the time being.

 

He has alot to work on. But the materials are there

 

For me he's got the potential to be all those things..

Has shown he can do all those things in spells, people expecting too much of him against Bayern & PSG..

In saying that would have left him out last night and started with Armstrong in beside Brown and McGregor further up the park..

Too much expected too soon we've bought potential and need to bleed him in gradually..

Going through a poor spell but he'll be fine. He's athletic and shows some really neat touches.

He's a bit scattergun, though. Had some good moments last night, but would follow it up with something reckless. I think once he settles into the team he'll find his role and his decision making will get better.

 

I think there's some real quality in there.

Not writing him off yet.

 

He did ok I thought. Certainly wasn't the worst. Brown wasn't at the races last night.

 

Thought he really grew into the game

 

Is it obvious? Not to me it's not. He played well in the games vs Astana but in our 3 group games so far(apart from 1 nice pass against Anderlecht) he's been terrible. He must have passed the ball to the opposition more than his own team-mates. He's done ok in the league but against that dross so he should. This guy was supposed to be our big summer signing, the one to make the difference against the likes of Bayern according to BR and, so far, he's not been up to the task.

 

We've bought a player who can make the difference v teams like Anderlecht which he did. We can't afford a player who will make a difference v teams like Bayern..

He has the potential at 21 to be a player who will go on to make the difference against the biggest teams..

What won't help is our own fans writing him off in his first European campaign as a senior player.

The French seem to rate him too.
