I can still be convinced to change back to cookie if that's where folk are going. He's still high on my list

I could swing to cop lover as well. The lover tag makes it a lot less appealing though, and not a power I would particularly want

 

Agreed and Keano said as much, if it were a stand alone Cop role it would be the most glaring discard. That's why I said on a par with Roleblocker. There is a very good chance that nobody else would want to be lover so the Cop discard stands still..

Aye, but if he's been sent the card of "town lover" doesn't that mean (if he were choosing to use this card) he'd have to match part of it up to whatever other cards he got? obviously cop lover was his 3rd card as it was disregarded.

Say he landed with:

vanilla town
mafia goon
cop lover

he would to from those 3 need to pick his allegiance, and then his role. Same as he could have picked (example) a mafia lover role from those 3 cards

It's the same as he CANNOT pick cop lover as his pick, same as I couldn't pick Werewolf Godfather.

 

I think JC is saying he could have been town cop-lover. Cop-lover comes together as the role I think

Now, I might be wrong here but from the way it's been described to me at role choice pm, if his 3rd card was cop lover, he wouldn't have been able to use that solely as his choice - he'd have had to use it against another card, from the way I posted it up above.

Cop Lover is the role. Like you he would have to have had another Town role to be Town Cop Lover..

Can see why he wouldn't want that but like I said most people wouldn't want it slid be surprised if anyone is a 'Lover' in the game. So the Cop aspect in the discard is still pertinent.

Obviously I can't and won't discuss the two cards Keano combined, but the card he rejected is 'Cop Lover'. I put the word town in brackets to indicate it was a town role. So he rejected Town Cop, but with the added tag of being a lover.

Lovers can be town or non-town, but when one dies, they all die simultaneously, if there are other lovers in the game.

When someone chooses a lover role, they have no idea if there are any other lovers in the game.

 

Right, so the confusion here is over cop/cop lover roles then, and not what he could possibly have had?
