    Really?

It's news to me, didn't think clubs like that would be spending double what we do. More, fair enough, but double is huge.

I thought it'd be more as well, considering they were bringing guys off the bench that cost £9m/£10m

The Belgian league currently receive £60m a year in tv money compared to the £18 odd Million the Scottish league receive. Not hard to see why they would have a larger budget than ours.[/QUOTE]That's only going to really equate to 3 times as much for their club in tv deal. Since we get abiut 2.5mill out of ours, I'd expect them to be about 8m purely on tv deal. The rest of their income needs to be compared as well.

    Quick Google finds this site
    http://www.insideworldfootball.com/...ostende-sees-debt-rise-makes-title-challenge/

A turnover two years ago of 75mill quid (today's rate), in the back of their two sales in mitrovic (18.5m euro) and mbemba (12.5m euro) knocks that year 15/16 revenue down to 54m euro.
Anyone recall our 15/16 finances!? 52m

I always thought our budget was the highest outside the top leagues and Portugal.

Double ours, for a club like Anderlecht, is above my expectations - Had no idea they would outspend us so heavily.

Anyone know our wage bill? Looking at last years EPL, Hull £25m, Burnley £33m and would think Brighton/Huddersfield would be in that region this year. Interesting to see how that compares to ours (and Anderlecht's).

Looked it up its not true he might be referring to a season were they turned over 82 million euros and that was because they sold players

He also might be referring that they spend more on wages average than celtic than means nothing to be fair that could either mean they have good players they want to keep or bad business because they are overpaying players that are not worth the money

2 times our transfer budget probably as they have spent up to 10M on players. Wage wise i think we have a higher wage budget and revenue wise we are also higher. at least this season. The difference with them is they have a higher guaranteed starting point in terms of TV revenue, bigger country bigger audience and probably have relatively decent sponsorship deals with Belgian companies.

I think outwith that we blow them out of the water match day revenue wise and merchandise.

There is absolutely no way Anderlecht outspend us. They won't have guys on £25,000 or £30,000 a week like us, no chance.

The huns outspent us in transfer fees this summer. They aren't big spenders and only really spent a little of the 25,000,000 euros they received for Tielemans.

Hence why I posted about the wages if you read further on and theirs not for a minute where I think their wage bill is double ours might be more but not double I take that statement with a pinch of salt it's rodgers way to pick up the players get then believing in them selves

Mind though, they may have spent more money this season on transfer fees, but they did just sell Tielemans for 25million euro.

    * sake.

Martin living off that one goal.

Actually he isn't, Strachan is just * clueless and would play him anyway.

No point taking a midfielder off while the 3 are currently useless and getting over run. Why weaken that area for a striker when we already struggle to get the ball forward?
