It's the perfect role to claim, a role that is "one shot" and has to used wisely. Instant excuse for not using it.

As for the bluff, think I have only seen this in play once so not sure how common it is. With the huge number of roles (140 odd?), it's decent odds.

Interesting that you don't want to reveal yet, but I'd be tempted to take your word for now.

 

@Idioteque, you turned down a mafia role, now I seem to remember a number of times you saying that you haven't been mafia yet, unless I'm wrong, you still haven't, why did u turn it down?

 

I wont lie, I don't recall seeing you claim that early in the thread, but that coukd easily have been a ploy to see what kind of bites you got to see who pulled you up on the legitimacy of your claim, which I believe is exactly what you've done.

Correct, but Han Solo the character doesn't correlate to the governor role.

 

All this rejected character * and role reveals is useless.

You could easily put up the character you chose and say you rejected it or could easily claim the character you rejected because yous know nobody else will have them.

Does no good to town and if you're telling the truth which only mafia know then you're putting town in an even worse position tion

Ok I'll indulge you(even tho it's a role that's been in play recently)

In the night phase I select one player to be King the next day and only that player gets to vote.

The facts are there and everything I say points to me being Town the fact you can't see it makes you even more suspicious.

It must be hard to match real film roles to suit the game though. Completely different.

You have, but your alleged discarded role only presents a risk to you if you're lying, and you're not too keen on revealing it. Maybe because you hope a mafia member will make a * up by claiming your discarded role, or maybe not..

Have my doubts on you, but you probably should be given time to prove yourself.

Don't worry wasn't asking as an angle, just whittling down the suspects.

 

The key is in the roles not the characters. The characters are just an extra dimension to suit the theme.
My rationale for my role reveal is solid. We need a bit of clarity early in the game.
