    It doesn't matter what it usually is, it all depends on which roles out of the 70 odd got randomly sent out, and who rejected what. There could have potentially been another 4 Mafia on top of what we have now if people hadn't rejected that role (assuming they all rejected for a town role, which is unlikely...)

    I can think of loads more beneficial roles.. Jailkeeper, Doctor, Watcher, Tracker, Vigilante, Kingmaker to name but a few...

    Well in that case, potentially everyone who rejected a town role could have got offered a mafia role, and we're heavily outnumbered?

    Maybe I was just being blinkered by looking solely at the roles rejected, and not what other roles are out there.

    Only guarantee is there is more town than Mafia, else the game would be over before it started. If your scenario happened obaf would have rejoined it.

    It is a little surprising that you rejected Mafia though...

    Is it a guarantee though that town will always outweigh mafia, especially if roles are given out randomly?

    Granted, I've never been part of a game where town are outweighed, but has it ever been so?

    What do you find surprising about my role rejection?

    Yes, if town didn't out number them the host would redo the roles. Else mafia could just vote together and lynch everyone since they always have a majority

    Thought you would enjoy being mafioso

    I believe Scotia enjoys being town moreso than Mafia so I don't think he would have turned that down for a scum role.
