Why do you come on here?

Literally the most pessimistic * sucking the enthusiasm out of everyone. Everything and everyone at Celtic is * according to you. Go out and get yourself some fresh air...the sky won't fall down on you.

Not that the bookies can't on occasion be wrong but we started at odds of 4/1 to win this and have been smashed into 7/4.

A win tonight would be up there with some of our most important Champions League results...okay maybe slightly behind beating Man Utd and Barcelona but still a great victory.

Just realised that we are away in our next game as well.

As obvious as it sounds, be really really great to pick up points tonight with that in mind

The bookies' odds are based upon betting patterns, not who they actually think will win.

Of course but it's not just your £10 coupon punters that bring in the odds that much. There's obviously a fair amount of cash getting staked on us by bigger punters who analyse statistics and form. That kind of confidence - while occasionally misplaced - is good.

Don’t know how this is going to go. Feel like it’s gonna be a win, loss and a draw every 5 minutes.

If we get a draw that’s us “theoretically” halfway to 3rd.

Will be watching in Salou tonight

If im being honest i was more confident going into the PSG game, because we were at home. Our away record in Europe is disgusting. To get a result in the champions league away from home, you need to be tight at the back and fast and clinical going forward. We have the personnel to pull this off tonight. We just never seem to get the tactics and the mind set right in these games. Big chance tonight to change that. A draw tonight would be a very positive result. A win and a run in Europe after Christmas is in our hands. Head says a 3 v 0 loss though, with us winning the return fixture.

Under Rodgers I'd say we've been better away from than at home

I just want a * clean sheet. Have we ever got one of those in Europe?!

I'm feeling good about tonight and I never do in Europe. Not saying we are going to have a cracking game and win relativity easy. Just think it will be a tight affair with both sides getting a few chances and squandering them.
I'm thinking/hoping it will be 0-0 with about 20 minutes to go. Anderlecht will open up a bit being the home side, and we can hit them on the counter, get a goal or even a set piece and get a goal out of it.
Control the game as they are not better than us. Scrappy 1-0 would be great, anything else a bonus.

Disagree with that. We hammered Beer Sheva & Astana and then looked unrecognizable away, clinging on at times.

The only 2 ties I can think of we've performed better away is Gladbach & Rosenborg (marginally) tbh

Beer sheva the previous year we would have been out. The only game that's Been a write off really is red imps and Barca but we were never gonna do anything there

Exactly, I'm happy to take playing that "bad" over there if we win as comfortably as that every time, the truth is we're certainly not "bad" and some clearly don't have memories that go back further than when Brendan walked through the door, sometimes in life it's better to say nothing than to just spout drivel for the sake of a reaction....quite sad really but such is the nature of Internet forums.

I simply don't know enough about Anderlecht to make a reasoned view but will certainly be more hopeful than many so it would appear

Cant * wait. Win or loose this will be a good game. We will have the ball for periods, we will create chances. It may end up end to end madness or not. What it wont be is us camped in and the other team no giving us a shot :56: so im looking forward to it.

Definitely but it was still a poor performance overall. Many of the team completely froze that night. Kolo Toure dragged us through the onslaught at the end and Gordon saved the penalty that would've otherwise put us out.
