    Celtic fans risk arrest if they turn up for Wednesday's Champions League clash with Anderlecht without a ticket, according to the Belgian club.

    A big travelling support is expected to travel to Brussels for the Group B encounter but fans have been warned they could be arrested if they end up in the municipalities of Anderlecht or Saint-Gilles without a match ticket.

    A statement on rsca.be read: "Anderlecht would like to remind all fans of Celtic who will be making the trip to Brussels that it is mandatory to be in possession of a valid match ticket when they are present in the territory of Anderlecht or the neighbouring community of Sint-Gillis/Saint-Gilles.

    "All Celtic supporters who can't show a valid match ticket when asked by the authorities, risk being arrested.


    is that even legal

    No chance they could police that, just scaremongering in a bid to keep away fans without tickets away from the ground. They would know we have a massive following and they are probably trying to avoid a Cologne at Arsenal situation!

    Not a * chance any fan is being arrested without a ticket, * it I'm catching a flight now, then going to hover round the area with my Celtic top on and see what happens, if I get arrested I'll just sue the * and that way I've got a bit a dosh and practically a trip to Belgium for free.

    Stupid thing for those * to say, I'd imagine a lot of travelling fans see that as a challenge and it would infact mean more Celts travel there.

    I'm actually taking more than 2 European games into account. Astana last season, and this one. Beer Sheva. The goalfest with Man City that should have been our victory, had we been more tight. We played quite badly versus Borussia M., too.
    I hope Brendan will change things for the Anderlecht game. Playing open, free-flowing football is hard- he need not be so stubborn.

    We beat Astana. We also beat Beer-Sheva. If we were more tight against Man City we wouldn't have scored 3 goals.

    If you had your way our team would be full of defensive minded players playing a game so negative that even Walter Smith would have been shocked at how negative it is.

    I dont know how they would expect to enforce that,the brussels cops,hundreds sometimes thousands travel without tickets to the away ties.Anybody that does get arrested should no let it go quietly,do as your told,dont punch the * itill only make it worse(a good beating and more charges)get badge numbers,names of the pigs who put in you in cuffs,sue,take it to a human rights court.

    As someone said could be scaremongering,just be careful we seen how the how the dutch police liked to use violence against our support.
