It was clear they were told to play narrow. Ralston and KT were both standing at the corners of our box in a flat 4 with Roberts and Sinclair essentially playing full-back, I think our plan was to allow them to feed Mbappe and Neymar in space out wide then Ralston and KT would go out to meet them and also to close gaps for players running inside our full-back and centre-halves(where Barcelona destroyed us last year).

Our plan was I think to get them to play it out wide into the lines/corners into space we were deliberatly leaving for them, then for our full-backs to rush out win the ball then depending on who won it Ralston or Tierney Roberts and Ntcham or Sinclair and Armstrong were to run down the line to get on the ball but it never really worked as they closed us down so much we had to keep launching it up to Griffiths instead as we had no time or space and so we were *.

So where Ralston should have been slipping it to Ntcham whod then play in Roberts and both would come running forward and Griffiths would be getting into space. Instead the ball was mostly being launched to Griffiths while Roberts and Ntcham were still 40 yards behind him and even the 3/4 times Griffiths did control it we couldn't get an attack and were forced backwards.

 

Tierney has had a few * games in europe. I thought we defended better when izaguirre played last season in the CL compared to the games Tierney played

 

KT clearly followed orders and played very narrow last night. Nobody in the Celtic side shone last night, so this is damning with faint praise, but I thought he was one of our best players, in that he performed his role and didn't let the opposition exploit the inside right channel.

Pretty much every game some pish diddy hammer thrower is on him, booting him to *, elbowing or whatever else they think they can get away with..

I'm getting sick of seeing one of the best, if not the best player's in/for this country getting done and decked time and time again..

 

Was saying this to the bairn last night , the amount of late tackles and hits he gets is ridiculous, fair play to him he has never retaliated. Dont know if its because he's young but he does seem targeted , was the same last season .
