Run on goal, yellow card for tackle straight after and getting the crowd going. Burst into the box looked like he had created a better chance than I had remembered.

Fair enough, I know what you mean and agree with the sentiment, but I never did write or imply that passion is shown from every player in every match, from my several decades of watching Celtic.
What I wrote was I just expect it from anyone in a Celtic shirt and especially anyone being paid to wear it.

I hope he makes if he is going to be given game time. But I just don't see it, I see the passion and grit and strength, but he does not look like a modern Right back, Lustig is and Gamboa looks the part.
He has grit and size to advantage, but he is not quick or particularly mobile and clearly not yet fit enough, and that is why I do not think he is good enough for Celtic 1st team now. One day maybe but unlikely imo.
I hope the lad makes it for Celtic's sake, I hope anyone who pulls on the Celtic shirt is a star, but I am not just happy clapping along like a good few on here more like Korea 2002 Cheerleaders than fans.
Being critical when necessary is what any fan should be, being satisfied and whistling constantly
is what overpaid boardroom kunts are able to do and want ye to do.
More than a few times I have seen Ralston (before Tuesdays team embarrassment and not his fault) he has looked very slow turning back and my impression is anyone with moderate pace will leave him cold.

The other night on the so called burst of a run, where he nearly falls over his own feet, be serious this was no moment of genius! Good and passion but no great skill.
Did people not also see he was knackered and tanking a big breaths in. A quality 1st team right back would have been racing back trying to defend and in a position to, not stopping to pick his lungs up.
Have ye ever seen Kierney for example resting in their box and trying so late to catch up.
    https://streamable.com/cbais
As the clip shows he was late as * getting back up the pitch to defend (bear in mind this is not long after the half time break) when he finally caught his breath he tried to make up for looking not fit enough with that stupid challenge, if someone did that to a Celtic player we would call it for what it was a desperate tackle, not class what so ever!
watch it again and see how he is all but the last player to catch up with play. He is supposed to be a right back, not a forward idling back in his own time and making a token effort at defence.

    Regarding 'Ye'
Btw to all ye who laugh at the usage of ye, now ye will learn this, that not only are the Paddies all your Daddies. We also speak sense in our second language!
ye is in fact the plural of you! it is not a replacement for you!
So all ye who write you when ye mean ye, ye are the fecking ignunt fools.
I have been watching Celtic long enough thanks daft lad, I remember his debut as a teenager his teenage spots and cracking goal under NL and recall Lennon post match interview saying they were expecting it from the kid.
I meant when those other named Celtic players were teenagers and similar age to Ralston and unlike him were clearly 1st team class from word go.
In fair context Celtic usually buy in rather than genuinely give such chances to kids, they have been too few and readily enough recalled to mind.
Miller & Johnston from the current crop look the real deal and ready.

Anyway never mind daft lad, I will in future try and remember that there are a few on here who have clearly been no where seen * all and but yet kids themselves, either in actual years or in british army / sevco likeminded infantile mentality.

Still can't shake the pirate image. Sorry :giggle1:

I disagree about Ralston as well. The entire team was out on their feet. He had Neymar to chase the entire game before then so it's no wonder he was tired after that run. Late tackle, sure. But he was making an effort.

With what he has going for him, he may end up and grow to be a centre back..

From several decade's of following us, surely you've seen young boy's be brought in and start slow. He's 18 ffs. I genuinely can't get to grips why experienced men like yourself can't be a bit more patient when Brendan has publicly said he's trying to bring youngster's through..

You're entitled to your opinion but a bit of faith wouldn't go amiss. From someone not sold myself..

I joked with you yesterday about "Kierney" but deep down I gave you the benefit of the doubt and put it down to a typo.

However, you just done it again!!! Who the * is Kierney?

I wasn't prepared to think he was brilliant after doing well against the likes of Kilmarnock, and I'm not prepared to think he's rotten after a tough night against PSG.

He's a kid who is physically developed, and he looks like he's mentally ready for the first team. I think from his limited number of starts, there are some things that he should be, and almost certainly is, working on.

His technique needs work. He's a bit 'blocky' in possession, if you know what I mean. He only looks comfortable on his right and it makes it a lot easier to read where he's going to go.

He can definitely work on his acceleration. He had a run in the 2nd half against PSG that shows he's got a bit of pace when he gets going. But there was a point in the 1st half when he tried to beat Neymar from a standing start and got nowhere. If the likes of Harry Kane and Frank Lampard can improve that aspect of their game, Ralston can, too.

Ultimately, he needs games this season. If Rodgers trusts him against PSG, then there's no reason why he can't play a good number of games domestically.

Don't think I've seen many players best Neymar from a standing start mate, I do agree with the general point though.

Learn to take a joke Jim. Granted it wasn't a very good one, but absolutely no need to play the race card.

Maybe if you didn't post utter * all the time people would take you more seriously.

    :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Oh I get it now Dean, it is indeed so fecking hilario, unless of course I was playing the joke? regardless thanks for almost cutting me some slack.

In my 50 plus years one event that still regularly tickles me on reflection, is a joke played on a bully drunken obese kunt in the west country (where not all are genuinely as thick as * and proud of ignunce) England. Now this bully was a big shot who until he met me and a late friend of mine, this bully up until then loved to talk about his little englerlund views which included bog trotters and how he hated the thick Paddy b's.

When we got into a conversation with this kunt, it took me a while to comprehend that this blob kunt who could have ignunted for engerlund at the olympics, was to be played with, pitied even and not actually knutted through the door. He was genuinely of little intelligence.
When this * realised I did not fit his bill of rights, he back tracked and mumbled something about how we were ok, the Irish were acceptable.
Basically assumed I was a 'protestant'
(not that this kunt was of any religion, I confirmed he had never been in a church of any kind in his life and just knew a word to repeat like a budgie) and not black or some more obvious foreigner.
Anyway during very little and shallow digging for how his views were concluded.
It transpired that This kunt actually thought Roman Catholics were actually from Romans!
This kunt on his feet had justified his BS hypocrisy to his own mind by thinking we were at least Europeans, known Europeans.

I got this actual priceless thought from this useless ignorant kunts head as he was trying to explain his way out of his pride in his own idiotic racism. He hated all blacks for example, this despite there not being a single on in his local village.
I could see he sensed I might just actually kill him in a fight so like all bullies since time immemorial he was nice to those who he knew he was not going to scare. He was called Kerry (how fecking ironic)

Met this oaf a few times after and just pitied him and his undeveloped so small mind. The thing that I recall apart from the Roman Catholics actually being Romans, was my late mate always called him Perry, (which the oaf always relied without correction)
when I asked why he was calling him Perry, did he not know his name was Kerry, he answered Yeah I know.

best comedy at least purest in the world is that of a small baby who throws something and
chuckles entirely for their own entertainment, as we age out art forms and purity are diluted by miserable and ignunt kunts around us, and the leaves falling relentlessly for no apparent reason other than regeneration.

Now all that above is perhaps irelevunt and has * all why I call him Keirney, that is maybe because I am dyslesixk, never been diagnosed but what difference, everything everyone knows was learned from base points of yesterday's knowledge, what if it is incorrect base points?
So in which case what the * are ye laughing at ye kunt.

Now run along and act like a typical hypocrite brit kunt, and pretend ye care about someone in the other forums talking about their struggles in life.
    http://www.talkceltic.net/forums/th...ety-and-other-mental-health-illnesses.139890/

In their or is it there, somewhere anyway is toral male of some little worth, perhaps.

I'll leave it there, no more posting here to any of ye kunts.

    I am banning myself.

For a kunt that is "dyslexic" that's not too bad, considering the only time you made yourself sound dyslexic in that whole jumble of * was when you tried to pretend you were dyslexic.
