It's hard to tell, but someone with CL experience could have helped.. you forget how young and inexperienced Simunovic is and he's our number one CB, who isn't even a full international yet.. it showed at times..

We're going up against experienced internationalists, we should have them in our squad too if we want try and compete..

PSG did to us what we usually do to teams in SPFL every week.

That's obviously just my own opinion mate, others will have theirs.

As far as I'm concerned, a truly WORLD CLASS team turned up at Celtic Park tonight and turned in one of the all time WORLD CLASS displays of football.

*, the likes of McGrain, Gemmell, Johnstone and Larsson would have struggled with that lot tonight...

    Precisely.

This is what it feels like to be Hamilton :56::56::56:

Seriously though, should make us actually sit back and appreciate how good we have it domestically.

Okay, i'm always the optimist, but I think we'll do better and learn from this in the group, we still have players to come back from injury as well

The pain from this will last only until we next face Anderlecht. Hopefully the team can then show we are much much better than that.

Yeah, absolutely nothing embarrassing about getting beat by a club that spends 100 million for every million we've spent. Some people do really need to look at the bigger picture. TBH the scoreline was about right.

Actually I believe Neymar (£198m) alone cost more than we've spent (£190m) in our entire 129 year history.

PSG were a class above us. I thought Rabiot ran the first half, and with Motta and Verratti also superb, we hardly got a kick. Mbappe, Cavani and Neymar were a constant threat.

I'm disappointed but it's not the end of the world. Our starting line-up cost £18.5m compared to theirs, which was £357.6m plus the commitment to spend £166m next summer. Our 3 subs cost a combined £400k, theirs cost £8.5m. Now I know it's not all about the money but it helps. Realistically there's only KT that would get near their starting line-up.

To me, the Champions League is about gaining experience and banking a nice stash of cash. If along the way we have the odd great night, such as Barca in 2012, then it's a bonus. Let's brush ourselves down, and go again at the weekend, as we chase what I really desire, 10-In-A-Row.

    Granted mate..

But I honestly think we could have played much better, not saying we could have beaten them but the manner of our defeat was hard to take..

We could have done with some experience in the there tonight along with Gordon, Lustig and Brown but I totally understand it's hard to get that type of player into the club..

It's how we respond in the tournament now..

How though? look at the likes of ntcham, Roberts and Edouard none of which are internationalist maybe for the unders lot sure but and annoyingly are unlikely to be when you consider who they are to compete against but yet getting them all in could cost shy of £30mill, even going out trying to get experienced quality cb's that could help make a difference in the CL straight of the bat is likely to set us back £8mill.

People can hate on the board all they want for not spending what fans think is acceptable to them but we live financially precisely within our meana

They are probably the best team i've seen at Parkhead but we looked like a team that knew the outcome from the start and the first half performance was woeful I know Rodgers has his style of play but we don't have the players to be playing passing football against the best teams in Europe.

Just in from the game. They were phenomenal. We didn't have a chance. Simply outplayed by a far superior team.

I think we got to witness the next 2 new ballondor winners tonight in their wingers.
Rabiot, neymar, mbappe and silva were something else.

Onto anderlecht now only games that matter.
