Watt got about 2 goals and Griffiths got 20.
How do I get in on this bet? Better prices than the bookies.

Brown doesn't warrant this type of negativity towards him. He played well the first half and got the * kicked out of him. Second half he had a bit of a shocker but there are players in our squad that have terrible performances every couple of weeks (lustig, bitton, forrest) and don't get the stick that Brown gets for having one bad game (well maybe bitton:celtman2:). Not sure if it's because that picture of him in a Rangers kit surfaced.

I'll take that...hopefully a stretcher and a certain Brazilian in the mix too!

If he plays on the right then KT will have him in his back pocket.

SCOTT BROWN has told Celtic fans they had better get used to Brendan Rodgers’ passing mantra.

At 1-1 going into the last five minutes on Saturday, the Celtic boss reacted sharply to fans behind his dugout.

They screamed for the ball to be shelled into the St Johnstone box in the quest for another victory.

But unmoved skipper Broony simply carried on with his business — maintaining the passing style he reckons is the ONLY way Celtic will establish themselves as a genuine Champions League outfit.

It’s hard to see Celtic being dethroned at home any time soon.

But as they approach a second consecutive group campaign in club football’s most glittering tournament, Brown’s belief in Rodgers’ brand of play is unshakeable.

Sub Callum McGregor’s 80th minute equaliser — a superb shot inside the box drilled low beyond Saints’ No1 Alan Mannus — came just as Hoops fans feared a controversial Steven MacLean first-half opener would finally beat the Invincibles.

Their 53rd unbeaten domestic game showed the absolute refusal of the six-in-a-row champions to accept defeat, no matter the clear exhaustion after the seven-hour flight from Kazakhstan and 5am arrival home on Thursday.

Saints were excellent and fully deserved their point. They couldn’t have pushed Celtic any more and MacLean passed up a glorious point-blank chance to make it 2-0 in the 60th minute.

McGregor’s strike was another big moment from an attacking midfielder whose absence from the Scotland squad is baffling.

But after it, many Hoops diehards made plain their frustration at Celtic remaining studied in their build-up play.

But ahead of box office Euro ties against Paris St Germain, Bayern Munich and Anderlecht, Brown said: “We started slowly and were disappointed with the goal we lost.

“But the second half was like the Alamo.

“The tempo was slow at the start and that’s not like us at Celtic Park. We usually start pressing teams high up the park.

“The knock in the first couple of minutes killed the momentum of the game a bit and we didn’t really pick it up from there.

“We kept going and going and sometimes you don’t get that bit of luck you deserve.

“But fair play to St Johnstone. They defended, tried to keep us at bay and put their bodies on the line to get a draw.

“They play direct and try to get two up, but we changed formation at half-time and it worked better.

“We play our game no matter what. It’s hard to listen to fans during the game.

“We are too busy being focused on keeping the ball down, trying to play attractive football.

“That’s what the teams do in European football, that’s what we’re going to find in the next weeks against top teams in the world.

“You don’t just kick it long and play the percentage game.

“That’s the old-style Scottish football and we’re trying to bring in a proper European culture. It’s risky, but that’s why we play good football, that’s what we practice every day in training.

“We build from the back, we deal with the pressure.

“Sometimes it happens that someone gets a chance if we’re slack, but we did the same thing in the second-half.

“Craigy builds it and we pass it instead of just pinging balls up the park long to Leigh.

“There’s not a lot of height in the team, so we need to play that way.

“For the amount of possession we are going to have, it’s definitely the way. Things like losing the goal on Saturday happen.

“We could all have been in better positions, more aware of where we were.

“But it wasn’t to be for that goal and St Johnstone took their chance well. We’re just enjoying the football we are playing. The second-half against St Johnstone was fantastic and we are just going to keep pushing on one game at a time.

“The Champions League draw is exciting. It’s going to be hard with top teams coming here, but you want to face the best and we definitely have got that.

“That’s a group that will be hard to get out of, but we want to try and get European football after Christmas.

“We know what happened last year. We started with a 7-0 defeat to Barcelona and kicked on after that, but we don’t want the same thing to happen again.”

Four years ago Brown was red-carded against Barcelona for an incident with Neymar. Now the Brazilian’s coming back to Parkhead as PSG’s world record £198million signing.

Broony, with a wry smile, said: “Neymar is just another player to face. It’s 11 v 11. If we are going to compete, we know we are going to have to defend a little bit more than we usually do as we are against top-quality players.

“But we want to be in the Champions League and that’s what we’ll need to do.”

Brown, meanwhile, is convinced they’re going to start seeing the best again of Stuart Armstrong after his fellow midfielder’s contract extension.

He’s also excited about the imminent return of winger Patrick Roberts for another season-long loan spell from Manchester City.

Brown said: “Stuart’s a great player. He shows his qualities. He’s direct, gets the ball and he drives.

“He creates space for other runners and that creates space for strikers as well.

“Maybe he was affected, but Stu’s a very intelligent boy. He wanted to stay here and he wants to play for Scotland.

“Patrick would definitely strengthen our squad and we know what he brings to us.

“But he’s a Manchester City player at the moment and we can’t wish for things which may not happen.”

SunSport understands, though, a deal WILL be struck this week.

Brown should consider hanging up the international boots again. Think his performances as a whole this season having been at the level of last year and all i can think about is his lack of time off again over the summer.

Former Northern Ireland star Ivan Sproule has revealed that Celtic captain Scott Brown is among those helping the fundraising drive at Ardstraw after the Tyrone club was devastated by last week's storm.

Sproule took over as manager of the Intermediate outfit two months ago and is using his contacts in a bid to raise cash and awareness of the 'nightmare' situation. One week ago, a fierce storm caused havoc at the village football club, wrecking the clubhouse, ripping the fencing around the pitch to shreds and sweeping goalposts away.

The cost of the damage could be well over £50,000 for the small rural football club, leaving long-time officials heartbroken.

A 'JustGiving' campaign has been set up on Ardstraw FC's Facebook page and already locals and fans from further afield have been sending donations.

Sproule has been as quick off the pitch as he was on it, ringing round friends including Celtic star Brown, who played with the ex-Linfield ace at Hibs, and Northern Ireland skipper Steven Davis.

"Scott Brown is sending me a Celtic shirt from the weekend. He's been a long-time friend. I was in touch with him and he texted me back to say he would get a shirt sent over to help with the fundraising. That's typical of the man," said Sproule.

"I've asked Steven Davis for something and I've been in touch with my old club Hibs and others. A Rangers supporters' club have told me they have a signed shirt so we can raffle that off too.

"We've also had great help from local clubs, the local community, Hibs fans and we appreciate it. We really need all the help we can get.

"The damage that has been left behind after last week's storm has been a nightmare. All the work they had done and the tens of thousands of pounds that they raised tirelessly over the decades was wiped out in one night.

"Whenever the flood happened it was heartbreaking for the people who have been involved in the club for many years. You could see the tears in their eyes. It was soul destroying."

Sproule, who hopes for financial aid from the Irish FA and Uefa, added: "It's been disheartening for the players too but we are hoping to play again at our home ground this season. Momentum has been building in the club and I want to keep that going."

SEETHING Scott Brown branded Malta star Steve Borg a “horrible b*****d” after a Hampden spit storm.

The Scotland skipper was incensed midway through the second half when the Maltese defender gobbed in his direction.

Borg immediately tried to apologise but Brown was in no doubt his filthy actions were deliberate – even though it was missed by Danish ref Jakob Kehlet.

The Celtic star, who was walking a suspension tightrope because a booking would have seen him miss next month’s crucial clash with Slovakia, insisted: “He did spit on me, he is a horrible b*****d.

“He put his hand up to apologise but I managed to keep my head. He is a horrible b*****d but the main thing was getting the three points.

“Getting the win was the main thing, it was about the team – not about one person or bookings or anything like that.”

Scotland’s 2-0 win coupled with England’s victory over Slovakia means their fate is back in their own hands next month.

And Brown reckons Hampden will be rocking when the two nations go head to head – three days before Scotland’s trip to Slovenia.

He said: “I thought we played really well, we played our game at our tempo. We were very patient with the ball, that’s what we tried to do and we created chances from that.

“It is a great result from England as well for us. We knew we had to win our game and then just hope they gave us a helping hand.

“I didn’t really notice the cheering, I thought the fans were maybe cheering us for keeping the ball.

“I didn’t know England had been a goal down, we only found that out after the game.

“The Slovakia game will be massive now, hopefully the fans come out and support us next month.”

CELTIC have held further talks with treble-winning skipper Scott Brown over a new contract.

Broony’s current deal runs out at the end of the season, but gaffer Brendan Rodgers is desperate to secure the midfielder powerhouse’s future.

And SunSport understands an extension is set to be sealed this month.

The Scotland captain has been handed a testimonial at Parkhead next summer to mark a stunning ten years at the club.

There will be a match, dinner and golf day, with events having a major charitable element.

Earlier this year, Rodgers hailed the 32-year-old as one of the greatest captains in Celtic’s history.

He said: “Scott is someone I want here — that’s for sure.

“He’s a remarkable player who will go down as one of the greatest captains in the history of this club.

“He’s done it over ten years here but what he did last season puts him alongside the greatest captains.

“He’s still hungry and driven to keep winning and performing. You see the level he’s at.

“He’s turned 32 but is coming to an exciting period in his career. He’ll be around for another few years yet.”

The bhoy deserves it. I love it when a non supporter comes to the club and falls hard for us. Broony is a club legend and a leader of men. I'm sure they will have a ready made job for Scott when he stops playing.

Does anyone think that he may be offered more money than hes on now, thats assuming every contract you sign is worth more money id imagine?

Basicly what i mean is could rodgers offer him more and therefore raise the wage ceiling a bit, which could lead to being able to offer players better deals in future ?
