I get what you mean in the third goal but I think the mistakes brown made were more criminal no one is calling for hin to be punted

That's what happens when we don't play with proper central defenders mate. I respect your opinion on that but I don't think he'd have been out there if Jozo was next to him, two guys learning the centre back position, * like that will happen.

Brown and Bitton don't have the same Celtic careers upto now, anyone wanting him punted isn't doing so on one performance.

I thought he did okay in all of the games he was asked to take part in except tonight of course I don't know why he's been singled out lustig and ajer performed just as bad as did mcgregor and forrest win as a team and lose as a team

Don't know why everyone is complaining. Rodgers has said he won't be first choice or anywhere near when all his defenders are back. Stepped in during a crisis and has done all right out of position. Good going forward and picking a pass but not so great at defence but we all knew this.. Griffiths goal and out of position for twumasi's for examples. He's done his job over the last few games and that's it. Decent back up in midfield and defence when needed from now on.

Yes exactly it's not really a personal thing the poor * has been put in that position, my main issue is why put ourselves and Bitton through that. Most people on here were asking for another CB months ago. My main gripe with Bitton has always been his bottle and heart which the fourth goal really shows, he folds under pressure and at Celtic that can't happen mate.

But it isn't a constant part of Browns game, even in the first half Bitton tried a stupid chip ball then dribbled and lost it at the edge of his own box. Yes he is a midfielder back there but don't try Hollywood passes and think you are a winger, he is a so called defensive midfielder he should know this * by now.

Don't like to criticise our players publicly but I do see when they are not performing. This was the case for me with big Nir. And I like to think I am level headed enough to call a decent judgement. A lot of posters slated him, some ott but nevertheless probably deserved. We as football fans can be fickle and at Celtic we are no exception. But when a few regular posters accused the majority of anti Biton posters of being anti Semitic, I thought, how dare you take a cheap shot, just to put themselves in a good light. Now I would like to ask the same posters. Do you still think we're anti Semitic or have you realised Nir was not performing toward the end of last season?

In the games Bitton has player at Centre half, he's been ok. He was fine v Partick. The penalty claim wasn't given so it's totally irrelevant. He was fine at home v Astana. He was poor for a spell last night but he wasn't the only one. He hasn't actually cost us a game.

I don't think he's a solution to our CB problem, but the criticism of him has been over the top.

He's a valuable squad palyer due to his experience and his ability to play two positions, but he doesn't start it either when all are fit..

I agree with your post majority in this thread that criticise nir bitton is out of frustration from performances that being said I would not deny that their is people on this forum and a few in the support who are anti semitic towards bitton calling him a zionist I have seen a few times and people wanting him punted for that reason.

Of course there are a few. But overall mostly the negative posts were performance based.

Mmm there's a massive difference between being anti-Semitic and being an Anti-Zionist...

I'm just saying if he is a zionist and your anti zionist it's a good excuse to dislike him but he isn't if he truly was he would not be at our football club

Keep all talk of politics out of this thread. If you want to talk about Zionism and/or anti-Semitism, then do so in History, Politics & Religion.

    That's rubbish mate...

He completed National Service in the IDS to protect Israel. It didn't stop us signing him or nor should it, he should be judged on his footballing ability alone. But there's no way of knowing how strong his political opinions are, they are personal to him..

It is an emotive subject for some in our support tho who would rather not see him in the Hoops..
