Missed the first half due to being at work but the second half I did see. It was dreadful. All over the place at the back and gutless in possession of the ball. Everyone just looking to play the safe pass and as a result we invited pressure onto ourselves. It could have been 5-1 at one point, which would have put the cat among the pigeons. Astana's fourth goal was particularly bad. Bitton, Lustig and Gordon all to blame for that one.

Not sure how to feel about that game tonight. Part of me thinks we got lulled into playing too cautiously because we had such a big lead and that the game would have never panned out that way if we'd gone over there with a 1-0 lead. Another part of me has alarm bells ringing. Astana are decent, no more than that, and we shipped four(going on six or seven) goals to them. If we play like that in the group stage it will get ugly.

Disappointing performance but at least we're through, that was the whole point of the exercise.

Should have been a more comfortable 2nd half but at least we are through.

On the sky sports news app review of the game, they only gave Ntcham a 6 !! Gordon and Sinclair both highest for us with 7s

Never do things the easy way but we are in the group stage, that's all that matters. Hopefully another couple of signings to come in, Moussa and our central defenders back from injury and a decent draw for the groups then see what this group of players can really do.

Thought Ntcham was outstanding tonight, going to be a real asset for us

Proof, if more were needed, that Sky know precisely Jack and *.

But we also scored 3 away goals. Had a makeshift CB pairing and only 1 fit striker. The score may have been 4-3 but that's the same margin as a 1-0. And I don't believe we'd have conceded 4 tonight with first choice defensive duo. Although I though Ajer and Bitton are not that bad.

Right there should be the end of Bitton at centre back, not just blaming him for everything that went wrong but he's not good enough when the pressure is on. He's supposed to be the experienced one along with Lustig and Brown, they went missing for a large part of the 2nd half.

It's a learning experience though, think no matter what Rodgers would of said before the game and at half time the players thought the job was done coming out for 2nd half. Shows they can't slack at stage in Europe especially away from home.

Bitton isn't 'not bad'. As a centre back he's dreadful.

Not really sure what everyone is getting so worked up about. This was a garbage time game where we knew that if we scored even a single goal, they'd have to score at least SEVEN goals. Then we started at center half a 19yo and a midfielder out of position. What did we really expect out of this? Another 5-0 win?

Letting in three garbage goals was really not that unexpected for me.

I'm just really glad we signed Coetzee.

Wouldn't say he's dreadful, he's done really well playing in a position he's not used too. He's had his blips but I'd have still had him in defence over Ambrose and day of the week

Thought big Tam needs a bit of credit here, the * turnt 4 guys in one run, bit of a calming influence at times, drew the foul etc.

Ntcham absolute class - Armstrong ain't playing in front of him anytime soon, he will be shipped in Jan.

Announce Patrice tomorrow on a perm.

Agreed Bitton he was out of position and got us through over two legs - Brown was in his position and was dreadful today
